2002 Breaking News
PENSACOLA, FL -- Today, July 23,
2002 Editor-Evangelist Jerrell Miller will board an Air France Bowing
777 to go to Paris and on to Lego, Nigeria. Finally an America
Reporter will go to see first hand the Synagogue Church and Pastor T. B.
Joshua. The first leg of the trip will begin in Pensacola at
Pensacola Regional Airport.
Many American ministers
have visited the church to walk away with a new vision of healing.
In recent days there has been much criticism of the move of God there
labeling T.B. Joshua as a cult leader. According Yan Vintor former
director of Evangelism for South Africa, he says this about Joshua,
"You can't believe everything you read about this church no
American reporter from any news source has ever visited the church.
There is phenomenal healing going on here."

CALHOUN, GA -- Editor Jerrell Miller
celebrated the 300th week of revival with Pastor Keith Reid at the East
Calhoun Church of God. Miller spoke on Faith on Friday night and
ministered in the prophetic gifts at the altar. "When the
service started I could feel the glory of God touch the house as Worship
Leader Timothy Reed, the pastor's son led worship," said Editor
Miller.
East Calhoun Church of
God is a unique place. It has been touched by the power of God so
deeply that the witness of that move found itself on the front page of
Sunday Edition of the Atlanta Journal -Constitution.
Charisma and several other publications have visited the church.
It is a place of pure revival. Numbers have been healed in the
Friday night service and the glory has not stopped. Pastor Keith
Reid is a former Southern Baptist Minister that was touched by the p ower
of God and was dramatically touched at a revival service at the North
Cleveland Church of God where the leaders of the Brownsville Revival
came in October of 1996. That night Pastor Reid came back from that
service and prayed over his family and the entire group was slain
under the power of God before revival ever touched the church. The
glory hit the church in the same way the next night and this Church of
God has never been the same.
On Sunday Editor Jerrell
Miller will preach at the House of Praise in Hurley, Mississippi and
then travel to Legos, Nigeria on Tuesday. For all these stories

Eric & Jennifer Gonyon give their testimony of their
call to ministry as Rodney Howard-Browns looks.
Erick & Jennifer Gonyon
They Sold Out To Jesus
TAMPA, FL -- Eric and Jennifer Gonyon
had a multi-million dollar business in West Palm Beach, Florida and
the call of God came at the River Church in the Summer of 1997.
Unlike the rich young ruler, they sold everything they had and was at
bible school in the short period of a month, God was in it. They
followed the leading of the Lord. Having to be at school on August 31,
Eric and Jennifer had not sold their house. As they had given away all
that they owned and was going to leave for school on August 31 -- a
call came as they were leaving -- God was right on time as a lady
purchased their home.
Eric and Jennifer A Great
Part Of The River At Tampa Bay
Eric said it wasn't easy to leave
our business but we knew God was in the middle of what we were going
to do when our house sold on the very day we were scheduled to leave
for school.
Eric and Jennifer graduated Rodney
Howard-Browne called them forward in a Sunday service in 1998 and
asked them to head up his organization for evangelism on the road.
Eric and Jennifer had given all to the work of God and now they would
be involved in the greatest two revival crusades of the Rodney
Howard-Browne Ministry. It was Eric and Jennifer who organized
the out reach people from New York City in the Good News America
Revival service at Madison Square Garden. Hundreds of volunteers
went out from the Garden to win souls for Jesus in New York. It
didn't stop there as more souls were won in the religious South.
In the year 2000 during the hot 100 degree Summer of Louisiana, more
than 50,000 people were won to Christ through the Rodney Howard-Browne
outreach. Eric said this at Campmeeting, "When we were
called we gave up all, we would not miss what God had for us.
Many of our skills in business were developed for the ministry we are
in today." Today Eric and Jennifer are teachers in the
River School of Ministry and they still head up the outreach for
Rodney Howard-Browne. James McCurdy and Eric and Jennifer have
just returned Norway before Campmeeting started on Sunday.
Campmeeting last night was special as Rodney
went late into the evening to capture the cloud of God. Last
night's anointing touched many people. Each meeting has been
tremendous as length of meetings have invited the Spirit to touch in a
deep way. Going into the fourth day, the glory is increasing in
intensity.

Joel Stockstill and brother Jonathan Stockstill
ministered at the Signs & Wonders Campmeeting Tuesday morning.
Joel & Jonathan
Stockstill A Second
Generation of Power
TAMPA, FL -- Going into the third day of
the Campmeeting the power of God was so strong today that the Glory
touched many who were in the audience. A holy cloud could be
sensed and felt during the worship at the beginning of the day.
Preaching in the round, Howard-Browne invited the sons of Larry
Stockstill of Bethany Fellowship to come and minister. The young
19-year-old Jonathan Stockstill was powerful as he played on the key
board away from the main pulpit, then it was Joel's turn to share the
word of God. Joel Stockstill was powerful in the pulpit.
Joel (23) never attended high school of college because of a disabling
illness in his kidneys. It was in the summer of 1995 when
Joel's kidney's completely shut down. He hasn't lived a normal
life but one thing he did not come up short with was his ability to
deliver the word of God. Joel said that he had been at deaths door
more than five different times hovering over deaths door.
"Surely God has a purpose for this 23 year old young man, these two
brothers have powerfully impacted the ministry at Bethany. The
glory that is upon them is the same glory that was on his father.
Two other people were
honored today at the Campmeeting. Eric and Jennifer Gonyon gave a
powerful testimony of how they gave up a prosperous business to go to
the River Revival School in Tampa, Florida. After graduation Eric and
Jennifer became a part of Revival Ministries International at Tampa.
Eric and Jennifer worked tirelessly in New York and Shreveport to teach
people to lead people to Christ. There soul winning technique has
lead over 100,000 people to the Jesus.
Rodney
Howard-Browne taught on the anointing all the way to 2 in the afternoon.
The glory was in the house from the time he walked in until the meeting
ended.

Pastor Steve Hooper of Kingsport, TN and Rodney
Howard-Browne, The River Church, Tampa, FL
TAMPA, FL -- Today's Campmeeting focused
on giving and the blessing that God gives found in Deuteronomy 28:
After Rodney read the entire Chapter on giving and then he taught
on the process of return. The power of God was in the teaching of
the word as Rodney spoke about his ministry in the early days.
"My first year here in America we only took in $60,000 and God
dealt with me. In 1992 my entire ministry budget was $3
million dollars and once again God dealt with me on giving. I
often asked him, "Isn't it working the way you want it to, but God
dealt with me so I could go to another level."
Giving Is A Ministry Life Style For
Those Who Understand
Pastor Steve Hooper of
Restoration Church in Kingsport, Tennessee spoke and said, "I had a
tremendous breakthrough in giving when I moved into my new house,
giving is not a process you do on a part time basis -- you have to be in
a lifestyle of giving to touch the heart of God. I you want to do
anything for God your going to have to give." Hooper was a
former large business
owner who lost everything and accepted the call to God. This
former millionaire knows the power of giving and has a great testimony.
River Church On I-75 Is A Miracle of
Giving
The new Church at the River is beautiful, and it came from a need. One
day when Rodney was driving through Tampa he saw an abandon car
dealership called Auto Nation on Interstate 75. "God spoke to me to
buy it, we were really having rough time with ministry finances at the
time but after they financed us because the man saw how much we were
giving into other ministries. You can't preach this if your not
doing it yourself." Today it is a beautiful work of God next
to the interstate in Tampa lined with beautiful palm trees and plenty of
parking. The show room of the old dealership can hold close to
2,500 people and is perfect for a church setting with the flags of the
nations surrounding the entire sanctuary.

TAMPA, FL -- What does it take to have a
move of God, first of all you need a man that is anointed for a great
purpose. Every since Rodney Howard-Browne opened the door of river
revival in Florida the power of God has flowed through several camps.
Through Toronto there are two apostles of this move John and Carol
Arnott. In Pensacola there is John Kilpatrick, Steve Hill and
Lindell Cooley, and in Kansas City there is Steve and Kathy Grey.
All these moves of God have a central figure. God has used these
four camps to touch this nation. The Remnant has traveled to each
one of these camps except Canada. Each of the three we have
visited have increased in power and demonstration of Spirit.
Despite some of the major set backs in the revival over the last few
years it seems as if the Spirit of God is speaking to purpose of these
places. Each has been stirred to a point of explosive revival.
The Remnant is at
Campmeeting with Rodney Howard-Browne this week. We are thrilled
at what we saw on Sunday night as the raw power of God touched several
at the meeting. A group of Russians who had come to America were
just blown away in the Spirit last night. More than 30,000 Russian
immigrants live in the Tampa Bay area. Several were touched by the
power of God. Laughter was in the house and one women who was
touched by Howard-Browne had the reflection of sparkling colors across
her face. It was not just gold, many specks of color seemed to
come and go from this women's face who was laying on the
floor. Pentecostal revival is different as people who were touched
were given microphones to talk and under the power of God they were
rendered speechless. Incredible power near the end of the night
saw more than 75 people saved as the altars were filled and another 100
accepted the call to ministry and this is just the first day of Camp
meeting here in Tampa, Florida.
Looking out at the parking lot and the light polls that surround it you
will notice every flag of the nations of the world. Rodney
Howard-Browne has set his sights on the world and to reach it with God's
with Holy anointing. We will continue with more reports on this
Campmeeting. The Remnant will visit Northern Georgia and South
Mississippi at the end of the week. It seems as if the power of
God is increasing in a more power destination at this time. To
read more about these supernatural events call to subscribe to The
Remnant at (888) 755-9145.

PENSACOLA, FL -- It was back to revival
after the Thursday night fire that shut the main sanctuary down in
Pensacola. Pastor Kilpatrick said, "What looked like a curse
became a blessing as in the next few months we will
see the entire sanctuary remodeled with a new roof on top of the
sanctuary. We were eventually going to have to replace the roof
but the lighting saved us a lot of money. Some say it was an act
of God but we really know who was behind this it was the devil.
Kilpatrick said, "Is that's your best shot?'
Tommy Tenney encouraged the troops
today with preaching out of the book of Job. He said great battles
are never won with out a price. They don't give out the Heavy
Weight Championship of the World without a fight for it."
The moment was anything but
somber today. The choir stood from the back and the Holy Spirit
flowed through the worship. Weeping and a loving gentle spirit
covered the sanctuary. John Kilpatrick pastor said that a couple
from the Jewish Congregation brought $100 offering on Saturday. Susan
Sax RN and her husband a doctor brought the contribution -- Susan worked
with the Remnant Editor's wife at Springhill Memorial Hospital before
moving to Pensacola. Pastor Kilpatrick also said he believed that
it was an attack by the devil himself because of Brownsville honoring
the Nation of Israel. The Family Life Center will hold more people
than the main sanctuary. Kilpatrick said that the engineer from
St. Louis who constructed the building might come out of retirement to
rebuild the new sanctuary. The pastor also said that the fire
Marshall said that the bolt of lighting that hit the main sanctuary came
through the plumbing vent and struck the inter - roof insulation and all
the electrical that is centered in the back. On a positive note
Pastor Kilpatrick saw a great blessing through the entire experience.
"I walked around somber on Thursday night -- it took eight hours to
contain the fire." Elmer Melton came immediately to the
church on Thursday night about 7:10 PM when an alarm had went off in
Family Life Sanctuary. Kids with fireworks near the church rattled
the windows at the Family Life Center that tripped an alarm downtown.
While the fire department answered a false alarm Melton noticed that the
sanctuary was on fire. "It could have been a lot worse had Elmer
Melton not responded the false alarm at the Family Life Center.
The whole building could have burnt to the ground but quick thinking
saved the main structure of the whole church.
Some who had went
through the sanctuary after the fire said that there was a smell of
smoke and tremendous smoke damage. Stay tuned for more updates on
the fire as they come.

News Anchor Mel Showers Slanders
Brownsville Church After Fire
MOBILE, AL -- It's been said that a rumor
or a lie will go all around the world while the truth won't make it out
the door. On the Friday's news broadcast of Channel 5 CBS affiliate in
Mobile, Alabama, News Anchor Mel Showers took a cheap shot at the
Brownsville Church in Pensacola, Florida, after their devastating fire.
In his news cast he made the statement that the Brownsville Church was
known for its financial discrepancies and that the revival was over. The
negative comments drew fire from many who heard it. and several called
the station outraged at what the news anchor has said about the church.
On his 10 PM broadcast no apologies were made for the inaccurate
statements, but a softer approach was made by the news anchor. In
the seven years of the Brownsville revival a constant stream of people
have visited the church even after their schedule was reduced to Friday
and full weeks during conferences. No financial discrepancies has
ever been proven at the church and the fact is that the books have been
wide open for anyone to look at, including news media. The church
has a high credibility among Christian Churches and submits it's
financial practices to a religious organization that monitors large
ministries. It must be noted that the church could not have been
accepted to this organization if it had been proven that discrepancies
had been found in the handling of money. Why the local CBS affiliate
chose to say what they have said has caused people in this area to
question the credibility of the news anchor who made the comments and
the whole creditability of Channel 5 in general. At a time of
suffering and setback for a church, this news source chose to add rumor
to hardship.
PENSACOLA, FL -- Late into the night
you could see flames from the top of the Brownsville Assembly of God
Sanctuary in Pensacola.
Most of the fire was concentrated over
the area of the church where tape duplicating center is.
Early in the night Elmer Melton saw the fire and called it to the fire
department. It was a major fire in Pensacola on July 4. More than eight
companies responded to the two alarm fire.
It was a difficult fire to control
because it was in the roof structure of the church. One church member
said, "It was started by a direct lightning strike and subsequently
started and the spawning fire ran down into the area where foyer
is and over the tape duplicating area." Escambia County Fire
Rescue Battalion Chief, Pat Grace said that the fire was under
investigation and that no determination was made as to its origins at
this fire.
Fire crews stayed on scene until 2 AM
in the morning working to contain the understructure of the insulation.
Fire fighters had a very difficult time containing that area. Tiny
flames could be scene from the roof as it burned. The fire crews as they
put out the roof fire tried to contain the water damage as it flowed
through the church from the downpour of the yellow nozzle truck that
stretched over the right hand side of the sanctuary.
Brownsville members were in the
parking lot as a somber pastor studied the situation. "He didn’t
say much but you could see the deep concern on John Kilpatrick's
face. We’re just blessed that Elmer Melton saw it because the entire
structure could have been brought to the ground had he not caught it
just after it started. Elmer is the chief ushers along with Bill Bush.
He also serves on the board of the church and is a trusted right hand
man for Pastor Kilpatrick.
"Although this fire will be very
costly, it could have done so much more damage. Praise God we have the
Family Life Center to meet in for the next few months!" said
Deborah Bailey. Tonight Tommy Tenney was scheduled to be at the
regular Friday night revival meeting but that meeting has been canceled. More
updates coming as more is learned about this fire.

PENSACOLA, FL -- Lighting struck the top
of the Brownsville Assembly of God church tonight causing extensive fire
and water damage to the church and main sanctuary. The roof was
seen on fire over the main entrance and much of the damage was done in
the area where they make the audio tapes and the foyer. One
fireman was quoted as saying that the main sanctuary will not be able to
be used for several; months because of the damage. The area of the
Gulf Coast from Mobile to Pensacola have experienced thunderstorms all
night. Because of the darkness of the night the damage could not
be seen.
Revival will continue in the
extended sanctuary. One member said tonight, "God is getting
ready to do something and the devil is angry."
In the last few days
several people have died. The message at the church is still
revival and Pastor Kilpatrick is still stirred with that message.
On June 18th the church moved into its seventh year of revival.

LOUISVILLE, KY -- It was just a
reenactment of the Christian Faith over the years at the second service
at Evangel World Prayer Center but what happened this morning was a
tremendous move of God as altars filled with
repentant church members and visitors. Mike Evans a young black
man played the part of James Seymour at Azusa Street. He was on
his knees with his head in couple of orange crates preaching when the
power of God touched him as he began to preach. What was reenactment
turned into the real thing. As Evans called people forward the
power of God pulled people and young people from the pews to repentance.
Pastor Bob Rodgers called the young people forward. It was a God
moment as the power of God fell in the sanctuary that has seen revival
before.
MIKE EVANS PREACHES AS SPIRIT FALLS
It
was more than just acting the power of God was upon Michael Evans he
preached and the power of God moved through him. Mike Evans works
in a car dealership in Louisville and is a porter in that
dealership. Much like James Seymour he was a waiter in a place
where a divine call was at hand. The prophetic word of God has
spoken that in the last days people who are nobodies would be raised up
to carry the message of God. Make no mistake about Sunday morning
at Evangel, the power of God came through a porter as a signal to those
to understand how God chooses the message and the messengers
Evangel World Center is a historical Pentecostal Church in Louisville,
Kentucky. This was the place where Colonel Sanders gave his heart
to Jesus, and it was a place that saw tremendous revival under Pastor
Wayman Rodgers. Pastor Bob Rodgers is building a new short wave
prayer station to ring the entire world. The presence of God
filled the Louisville sanctuary and people were in tears as the pure
nature of God was preached by an amateur but at a God called moment in
Louisville. It might of been a reenactment but what started as
just a play turned into the anointing of God as many were touched,
repented and filled. For

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Pastor Bob Rodgers is
going to touch the world with short wave radio. With the Muslim
influence growing in Africa the short wave radio has become the cleanest
form of communication, and the radio is going to be launched from
Louisville, Kentucky at the Evangel World Prayer Center to touch the
entire world. Editor Jerrell Miller is currently on the road in
Louisville, Kentucky. For

"The Story Did Not End The Way I Wanted It To End"
By Jerry Aplin
Remnant Reporter
PENSACOLA, FL --
Sunday, June 23, 2002, Brownsville
Assembly of God, in Pensacola, Florida. As the Sunday morning service
started you got the feeling that it was not going to be a usual
Brownsville Sunday morning service. Lindell played love songs to the
Lord. Nothing fast, just love songs to the Lord. There was more than the
usual movement on the platform. Pastor Kilpatrick came to the podium and
told the congregation that at 11:00 o’clock Matt Shiver’s life
support system would be disconnected.
Matt is the son
of Tony Schiever who is a deacon at Brownsville and drives pastor
Kilpatrick’s coach on his ministry trips. Matt and his wife had left
on a trip to Montgomery Alabama ten days ago. On the way to Montgomery
Matt became ill. So they turned around and came home. Matt continued to
get sicker after reaching home. After being tested he was admitted to
the University of South Alabama hospital. The test revealed a tumor in
his brain. Matt said he was going to roll it over on Jesus. On Tuesday
he was operated on to remove the tumor. He was doing ok until Saturday
night when his brain began to swell.
Pastor had arranged for the church
service to be relayed to the parents of Matt, so they could hear the
church praying for them and for Matt. As the church prayed, Lindell
played music requested by the family. This went on for some time. When
Pastor came back to the lectern, he said that Matt did not respond after
being unplugged. Matt had passed away. Pastor Kilpatrick said that he
could not bring the message with such a heavy heart. Dr. Larry Martin
would bring the message this day and a wonderful message it would be.
Dr. Martin said he was going to preach
what Matt would preach if he could come speak to us today. He used James
4:14 as his scriptural basis.
(James 4:14)" Whereas you do not
know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a
vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."
Life is a vapor. Matt’s mother
thought he was going to become an evangelist. That is exactly what God
did. Whenever Matt stopped to buy gas he would witness to the attendant
or clerk. On his job he prayed for his boss twice a day. He was a BRSM
student and they were proud of him.
Dr. Martin said, "Today I want to
stand in Matt’s place and tell you what he would say if he were
here."
1. LIFE IS SHORT!
Life is like a vapor that passes away
quickly. Those who live to be 100 years old think that their time has
passed fast. Dr. Martin said he was 50 years old and 2/3 of his allotted
lifetime was gone. A man’s normal lifetime is three score and ten or
70 years. Fate and time are the enemy of man.
2. LIVE LIFE TO IT’S FULLEST!
Life is relationships. If you
haven’t told your mate that you love them today, do it now. If you
haven’t hugged your children today, do it now.
Children spell
love……………TIME!
A man took his son fishing one day. He
wrote in his journal the following comment. "The day was a loss. I
took my son fishing." His son also made an entry in his diary. It
said, " Today was the best day of my life. Dad took me
fishing." Those wasted days you spend with your children just may
turn out to be golden memories.
3. EVERYTHING IS FATHER FILTERED!
The tumor that Matt had came as a
surprise to the family. This story did not end the way I wanted it to
end. There will come times in life when you will not understand why
something has happened. It has all been filtered by the Lord. Our God is
weaving a tapestry that only He knows the pattern and design. It is not
for me to challenge God. God is in control and I trust Him.
4. SERVE GOD!
There is not a person in the grave
that would not tell you if he could come back to serve God. Madeleine
Murray O’Hare would say, "serve God." Hitler would say,
"serve God." I am not talking about Sunday saints and Monday
ain’ts but 24/7 type prayer warriors.
5. COME JOIN ME IN HEAVEN!
Death is the ultimate victory for a
child of God. The world is just as dark as a cave. What did some of the
Bible heroes say about heaven? David in Psalm 23:6 said, " Surely,
goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will
dwell in the house of the Lord forever." In Revelation 21:2 John
said, " Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband." Paul in Timothy 4:7 says, " I have fought the good
fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Matt would
tell you, "Don’t give up. Remember Mnason."
If you are ready for heaven, you know
it. If you are not ready for heaven you need to get on your face before
the Lord and clear the deck of whatever is standing between you and God.
This article has centered on the
untimely death of Matt Shiver. It would be a tragedy if he were the only
young person who died from Brownsville this week but a young woman died
Saturday. She was 13 years old. Her parents and sister were in church
Sunday morning at Brownsville. Even with the death of a child the family
would not turn from God but were there worshipping Him the next day.

KINGSPORT, TN -- He was an evangelist
holding Miracle Meetings without miracles but that all changed when he
came into contact with Rodney Howard-Browne. Today as the glory falls
around Richard Moore he has found the secrect to the glory of God and
that is his presence. He followed Rodney Howard-Browne and set up
meetings for just $100 a week and then one day in his meetings he
received from God and was never the same. Recently in Kingsport,
Tennessee at the Restoration Church Moore displayed the
power of God as many were refreshed and touched by the mighty hand of
God.
The Remnant will be traveling all
this month to capture the true Spirit of revival -- to read about these

Jesus Was There Last Night
HARDEEVILLE, SC -- Last night the glory
of God was found in the low lands of South Carolina. People came
from around the area and a television crew from Charlotte, North
Carolina was there to record the events of a revival that is now in its
fourth year. John Davis spoke on the acceptance of Jesus Christ.
Davis the Ambassador for the Brownsville Revival has flown the country
to plant the seeds of that great revival across the country. The
evangelist said that in the early days of the revival God told him to
just lift up Jesus and that his presence would fill the place.
Once again that is what happened last night -- his presence filled the
sanctuary. Pastor Charles Bowman made several trips to the great
revival in Pensacola before Davis came. More than two years of
prayer was made in Hardeeville at Abundant Life before the glory visited
the wall of this sanctuary. They came forward for salvation last
night and they came forward to renew their relationship with God.
John Davis is a powerful force of revival and it was displayed last
night as the man of God preached a short to the point message that
brought people forward.
The Remnant will be
traveling all this month to capture the true Spirit of revival -- to
read about these stories you can order The Remnant by calling (888)
755-9145.
ON THE ROAD WITH THE REMNANT
HARDEEVILLE, SC -- Tonight we will be in
Hardeeville, South Carolina to visit Abundant Life Church.
Abundant Life Church is a direct result of the Brownsville outpouring.
Now going into its fourth year the power has sprung
forth and the has exploded in the last few weeks. Evangelist John
Davis is the evangelist at this fire and Pastor Charles Bowman knows the
power has struck a new measure of glory. In its fourth year
the power has increased.
The Remnant will be traveling all
this month to capture the true Spirit of revival -- to read about these
stories you can order The Remnant by calling (888) 755-9145.

PENSACOLA, FL -- Today Evengelist Steve
Hill will stand behind a pulpit that has changed the history of the
church as we know it today. Hungry people are still in place but
gone are the days of every night meetings. Hill returned to the
city and had to find a way to make this date just to celebrate the
seventh anniversary of the Brownsville Revival. Yes there will be
long lines once again but the hope and the prayer of those concerned
with this move of God is that it will still bring forth life. It's
more than just a happening event because seven years ago the church got
a break from the ususal and saw the supernatural return to the a Holy
Place in Pensacola, know as Brownsville Assembly of God.
Our throughts and our hearts today are with Pastor John Kilpatrick,
Steve Hill and the wonderful congregation that have backed and supported
the move of God over the last seven years. Happy Father's Day!

MOBILE, AL -- If the history of Pentecost
could speak it would tell you about New Life Christian Fellowship.
For years it was known as Bay View Heights Baptist Chruch,
it was a place that sponsored Kathryn Kuhlman when she came to minister
in Mobile during the 1970's. It was a church that saw the
controversial Decipleship Movement start with such great preachers as
Charles Simpson, Earn Baxter and many others, but last night it was a
Riverlution with Georgian Banov. This Bulgarian River man has
traveled across the country out of the New Orleans area to spead the
touch of God. Georgian is a river man with the power of worship in
his soul. Pastor Louis Carson asked him to come for the next three
days to refresh his people. "He's different but he has the power of
God and refreshing on his life." Louis Carson has pastored
the church for the last few years as the name was changed to New
Life Christian Fellowship in Mobile, Alabama. Louis Carson
has a powerful testimony as he moved his family from South Africa to
Mobile to build the river move of God in the port city.
This
month we will travel to Hardeeville, South Carolina and several other
destinations to cover revival. For more detailed information on
order The Remnant at 888 755-9145 for $25.00.

PENSACOLA, FL -- This month is the
Seventh Anniversary of the Brownsville Revival and the momentum of this
great move of God has been stirred.. If you would have been at the
church the last two times that Jackson Sanyonga of Africa preached then
you could have felt the fire begin to slowly burn again.
Evangelist Steve Hill will be at the Holy Place in Pensacola to
celebrate the Seventh Anniversary of this great move of God, on June 14,
2002.
Lagos, Nigeria Move Is Looked At
This issue deals
with the move of God in Lagos, Nigeria. Marvin Gorman and Yan
Vintor of South Africa, have both been to the Synagogue Church in Lagos,
Nigeria and have found the healing power of God. They have both
spoken out against the article written by Charisma Magazine
that labeled the move of God there a cult. Africa seems to be a
very hot area right now and the powerful revivals that are going on
there now have caught the eye of The Remnant. The
editor is planning a trip in the fall to that continent to investigate
what the Holy Spirit is doing there.
Reuben Knew
About Before It Happened
Anybody that
knows anything about the early days of revival in Pensacola knows about
the early days of Dick Reuben and his prophetic message of the coming
revival, "When the
pattern is right the fire will fall." Reuben said this in the
fall of 1994, je said that people would come to the church from all over
the world. He was the first prophet to see angels in the balcony.
Reuben was a foundational man for revival in the sea side city of
Pensacola.
Tennessee Is
Has A Fire Revival On State
We have been in
Tennessee once again to witness once again the move of God. This
year we have been in Union City, Dyersburg, Servierville, and Kingsport
and each time we go we see God's hand moving on that state. It was
just four days ago that a 3.4 earthquake was felt in Dyersburg.
Rodney Howard-Browne said that their would be a major move of God in
Kingsport, Tennessee; at the time he said this he had never been to that
part of the state. We were witness to that last week in Kingsport.
We are seeing tremendous break through in the country and Pensacola is
beginning to warm up once again. It will be interesting to see what
the Prophet Jim Goll has to say in Polaski, Tennesse at the King of
Glory Conference -- believe me something is about to happen big in
Tennessee
John Davis Is A
Busy Man in S.C. & Oklahoma
Evangelist John
Davis is having tremendous success in two different areas.
Hardeeville, South Carolina has built back to full force and the power
of God has momentum their. In Oklahoma, Happy Hill Church and
Robert Boyle is seeing the move of God grow their as that fire is
growing also. John Davis has the touch of God on him right now and
in both of these areas we are seeing God move in a big way right now.
This month we will travel to Hardeeville, South Carolina and several
other destinations to cover revival. For more detailed information
on order The Remnant at 888 755-9145 for $25.00.

PENSACOLA, FL -- The last two weeks at
Brownsville has felt the shaking of a great movement among the faithful.
Pastor Jackson Sanyonga from Uganda has brought a new life to this fire
that has never been seen before. Pastor John Kilpatrick was so
touched by his ministry that he asked that he fly from Uganda once a
month to minister on Friday and Sunday each month at the great revival.
Yesterday Pastor Sanyonga read the
scripture from Micah, "The breaker is come up before them
they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out
by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head
of them." It was a word that came forth in power, as
Jackson Sanyonga preached he created a hope and expectancy among the
faithful. Shouts of joy and rejoicing could be heard -- one person
said that it reminded him of the time the McGregor's came to the revival
just before the full revival broke forth in Pensacola.
Pastor Sanyonga spoke about said
that the devil has a stategy that causes us to go around in circles.
Only going from point A to point B and then returning back to A.
God wants us to go through the door so we might fulfill the call upon
our lives. We must go from point A to B and on to point C, never
to return back to point A. We have a destiny to fulfill our
vision. He challenged the people at Brownsville to go beyond the
place where revival was at its peak and dream dreams that will stretch
the vision. "Go beyond what you have known, don't dwell on
what has happened and be trapped into thinking it will only be as good
as this, go beyond what you know and don't be satisfied until you see
things that you have never seen before.
It was a powerful day at the great
revival, next week the Brownsville Revival will celebrate 7 years of the
initial Father's Day Outpouring. This week The Remnant has visited
Servierville and Kingsport, Tennessee. We have also traveled to
the great revival service at Heritage Fellowship in Florence, Kentucky.
We finished the week at the Brownsville Revival and we will go to press
this week with the Seventh Anniversary Edition of the Brownsville
Revival, to God be the Glory.
Editor Rev. Jerrell H. Miller

FLORENCE, KY -- This was no ordinary
night as the glory of God came into the service at Heritage Fellowship,
in Florence, Kentucky. It seemed as if it was a night when the
international touch of many people coming from many lands touched the
Holy place of God. One pastor from Cape Town, South Africa spoke
and gave the witness of a powerful God who is moving among the crime
element of South Africa. Two young people from Heritage Fellowship
who were in their early twenties spoke about moving among the sick in
Africa. The witness of blind eyes opening, the lame walking and the deaf
hearing was among the faithful. These were young people who had
went to the mission field without money and depended by faith for their
work. A Hungarian Evangelist Laszlo Bozaoka spoke on the
restoration of those who need to be restored. It was a powerful
word and the word that for those who were their this night. Pastor
Cleddie Keith took those who were in the meeting and stationed them at
the front as the faithful came forward for the prayer of faith.
HERITAGE EIGHT YEARS OF REVIVAL
This is the eight year of the Friday night meetings. Heritage
Fellowship is a place where people come to receive. Pastor,
missionaries and many in the leadership of the river move of God has
come through this holy house. Editor Jerrell Miller returns to
Mobile, Alabama where he will publish the Seventh Anniversary Edition of
the Brownsville Revival.

KINGSPORT, TN -- More than 30 churches in
the Kingsport, Tennessee got together for the last two days for a
refreshing and a move of God among the people. Several years ago
Rodney Howard-Browne gave a prophecy about this area that was
overwhelming. He said that this area would have revival, he said
that in a Georgia meeting and he had never been to this part of
Tennessee at the time. Yesterday we saw much evidence of that as
the meeting that began in the morning was filled with the power of God.
Musicians from over the whole city led worship as the presence of God
could be felt all over the auditorium. "It seemed as if God was
moving so strong in the worship that several times it felt as if a vent
from heaven was coming down on the people." said one witness of the
event. Michael and Margaret Shirley and the guitar player John said that
they had a witness a long time ago to move to this part of the state,
because this would be a place of revival. The glory that came down
during the early worship set the day for what God was going to do.
KINGSPORT IS REALLY A KINGSPORT
Under the guidance of Restoration
Church and Steve Hooper their pastor the two day meeting saw a
powerful harvest of souls. In this joint community revival
outreach more than 100 souls came forward to receive Christ. The
power of God touched the people deeply as whole sections fell under the
power of God as Rodney Howard-Browne stretched his hand forward to pray
for them on Thursday night. The most powerful thing on Thursday
were the powerful testimonies of giving and how God touched several.
From a minister in Sacramento to an Appalachian pastor who had a
powerful transforming touch of God the proof of God grace was in the
testimony this night. Pastor Timothy Collins of Resurrection
Church had a powerful testimony of how he found the secret of
giving that allowed him and his church to purchase a funeral home worth
more than $300,000 for their new church. Pastor Collins said that
the power of giving will heal the poverty levels in Appalachia as
revival touches our land. Testimony after testimony of giving came
forward for this great event. It was just a short meeting but what
God did here was tremendous. You could sense and feel a present of
God over this place and it seems as if it is a work about ready to come
forth on the calendar of God's revival schedule in the United States.
Today The Remnant will be in Florence, Kentucky for the
revival meeting that has been held their for the last eight years at Heritage
Fellowship under the direction of Pastor Cleddie Keith.

KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE -- Many consider
Rodney Howard-Browne as the father of revival in America and last
night he shared the vision that he has for America. More than
46,000 people were saved in his New York outreach and more than 53,000
were saved in Shreveport, Louisiana. Howard-Browne spoke about his
early childhood and his desire to come to America even when he was five
years old. "I tried to come several times before the Lord
allowed me to come. Believe me if all of America is touched by
revival then it will touch the entire world." According to
Rodney Howard-Browne the greatest threat toward revival in the country
is the mask of religion. During his outreach in New York many of
the Pentecostal Churches in New York City turned against his efforts to
touch the city. This evangelist was led by God in a dream to touch
the great city and even spoke of the city at the time as being a target
for international terrorism. Today he will have a 10 AM meeting
and a 7 PM meeting in Kingsport, Tennessee.

SEVIERVILLE, TN -- The Restoration of
ministers is the job of Deer Path Resorts, according to Sandra Bass the
hope and the vision of this resort is to change peoples lives.
Sandra once trained as an Assembly of God Missionary with Steve and
Jerry Hill. She spent ten years in the Assemblies of God as a
missionary. She has served as the Women's Ministry Director for
the Assemblies of God in North Carolina. "My main ministry
purpose is to bring people to Jesus Christ." Sandra is a
sought after speaker among the many women's conference in the United
States, but her vision of the restoration of ministers led her to Deer
Path Resorts. While it sounds more like a business make no mistake
about the commitment of these people. Dan Stetson has a vision for
the restoration of ministers and Sandra Bass was called to his side to
help direct conferences at the resorts. Today was a very important
date as the foundational work for the new conference center began on
Douglas Lake. The center will be opened in October, and
reservations are being taken for the fall. The Remnant is on the
road and has moved up to Kingsport, Tennessee to be with Rodney
Howard-Browne the next two nights at Meadowview Convention Center.

MIAMIBURG, OH --
"I believe I am seasoned enought to know the things of God. I’m
not going to tell you anything but the truth -- this man, colapsed dead
of a heart attack and he was brought back to life in that meeting at the
Synagogue Church in Lagos, Nigeria. I First heard three years ago
about the place , and I checked it out for myself, my brother went and
got saved there. We had prayed for my brother a long time. There’s
nothing new under the sun. I have been to Pastor T.B. Johusa’s Church
on six different occations and the powerful move of God continues there.
I have seen healing after healing and people repent with their sins
written on a sign," says Evangelist Yan Vintor of South Africa. A
group of Pentecostal leaders who desided to go to Charisma Magazine,
desided to label the church as a church of witchcraft and deception.
It’s no different than the days Jesus walked the earth. The people who
are religious and are not in revival always attack a true work of God,
the only differecne here is that they used Charisma Magazine
to do it with. If there is any kinds of deception going on, its the
article that was printed in Charisma Magazine. That was a
grave injustice to Pastor T.B. Johusa and The
Church of All Nations in
Legos, Nigeria.
Pastor Joshua has been led of
the Holy Spirit to do what he is doing. He started with just eight
people and as the healings began to manifest in the Holy Ghost sometimes
his mid week services contain more that 225,000 people who come seeking
healing in their bodies. There are altar calls for salvation and it
functions like a normal church, the only thing that is not normal about
the place are the thousands of people coming and staying and entire
24-hour-period seeking the healing power of God."
"Many of the
people know that healing is associated with repentance. When someone
comes seeking a healing for aids or HIV positive they have a sign which
includes their sins. What does witchcraft have to do with repentance. In
the six times I have come I have seen cancers of the skin, cansers of
the rectum and crippled legs walk. Many of the people who are seeking a
healing from aids come back with medical reports of the miracle. You can
see their original diagnosis and then you can see the diagnoisis of
health."
"In November
we plan to go back to The Church of All Nations, I am very excited to
see what God is going to do next the3re. I am an eyewitness account of
what is going on there and believe me, it’s real."

PENSACOLA, FL -- There is stirring at the
great revival in Pensacola. The pastor has become very active in
the order of the church and last week Pastor John Kilpatrick called the
church to a weeklong fast. The events on Friday night with Jensen
Franklin from Georgia is reveiling that the fasting is calling forth the
Spirit of God. The great revival has been trimmed to one night a
week on Friday but the hunger of the people still is calling for more.
Jentezen Franklin did
not preach because he said the Lord through Lyndell had said what he was
planning to preach. Jentezen called for the people to get so deep in the
Lord that we are not in control. He talked about how revival had
been in the first four years and how he cried because he missed most of
it. But he will not miss the next outpouring. God’s outpouring of
signs, miracles, and wonders.
A CALL FOR HOLINESS
It is past time for the church to repent for the sins
that have been allowed to exist. God is calling the church to be holy as
He is holy. How can an unholy church witness to a lost world? Examine
every thought and action. Examine what is watched on television. If it
does not lift Jesus up then it must go. 9/11 was a wake up call. It was
very bad. How will you handle situations that are worse than 9/11? How
much evil can be handled without caving in if the heart is lukewarm? In
Revelation God says I would that you were hot or cold rather than
lukewarm. Lukewarm people have no idea that anything is amiss. Come back
to your first Love, come back. Be revived.
Praise and worship Friday night was
wonderful as always but Worship Leader Lyndell Cooley felt that the
people were holding back. After about an hour of singing Pastor
Kilpatrick encouraged the people to walk around the church and pray to
remove distractions and hindrances from the sanctuary. Then Pastor
called the people to pray that the bondage and distractions be broken
from the minds of the congregation.
We are seeing a great change in the outlook at revival in Pensacola, the
people are more focused on the presence of God that the place continues
to hold and are now in the mood of reaching for a newer level through
fasting, praying and intercession. The things that they are doing
before they meet in the main sanctuary are now showing results in the
Friday night service. It was the same the week before when Claudio
Ferzon visited the church.

MOBILE,AL–His name is
Marvin Gorman and he has seen God’s move at various times in the
United States. At one time in New Orleans between the 1973 and 1984 more
than 200 people a week were coming to God at his church. He has been
through many changes since that time. Overturning a scandal in his own
ministry, today he is more in demand than ever. We sat and talked with
him about the end time revival and his travels into Africa.
"I believe revival will
return to our country a second time and it will be normal for God to
return a second time. Most people who seek revival look for it to come
the same way as it had come before, and that’s why God will not honor
their requests. God never does anything the same way twice. I see God
coming to us very soon because the time clock it ticking. The next
revival will be very quick – I look for the Holy Spirit to sweep the
earth in a period of weeks and months – the next move of God will not
be tied to a big ministry but absolute nobodies will be raised up over
night. People who have no names will lead this move of God."
"In 1983 I had a vision
of the last days revival and it was marked by holiness and worship. The
power of God will come through holiness and the praise of the one who
will send it on the wings of the Holy Spirit. I heard a man say that
Jesus left the church to 12 men to run and I said Jesus didn’t leave
it to these men but he told them to go and wait for the Holy Ghost in
Jerusalem. On the day of Pentecost great miracles were done and
Jerusalem was turned upside down. You could name the twelve on that day
but in that upper room were people with no names who had the same power
bestowed on them as the twelve. Believe me once again the no names are
going to have the same power as those who have walked in ministry for
years. These individuals are going to be raised up for this particular
time. They will have never been churched and they will have great faith
to accomplish very much in a short period of time. There will be a new
generation of believers who will understand the power of God but will
separate themselves from religious form. I see a day when the
supernatural of God will separate itself from the traditional church. It
was like that in the days of Jesus, tradition could not handle the
raising of the dead by Jesus, and new wine will never be able to be
captured by old bottles."
One of the most amazing
things Marvin Gorman had to share during his time at River of Life
Church in Mobile, Alabama was the tremendous healing revival that is
going on in Lagos, Nigeria right now. "Last year Charisma
Magazine labeled the move of God in Nigeria as a cult and something
that was not valid. We were asked to go as observers to see if what was
going on there was the real thing. We flew KLM all the way to the Ivory
Coast and got there on a Tuesday – the next morning I got up and
looked across the compound of where we were staying to see people lining
up for the Wednesday evening service. All day long we watched people
gather on the outside of the church. What started as a crowd of 125,000
would be swelled to almost 250,000 during the night. I walked with
Brother Joshua as we saw miracle after miracle happen right before our
eyes. The place was as large as a football field and the whole church
had closed circuit television so when Brother Joshua was moving everyone
could see what was going on. An entire section of people infected with
HIV positive were in the huge building. They stood with a sign that
named their illness and also the sins they were repenting of, you could
see fornication, adultery, lying and many other sins written out on the
signs. The claims made by Charisma were that they were not a real
church but what we saw was different from what their article claimed. As
I walked with Brother Joshua he led me to a women who’s belly was
swollen as if she was in her ninth month of being pregnant. She was
infected in the belly and as I layed my hands upon her water began to
gush out of her belly as her stomach went as flat as a 16-year-old girl.
It was amazing. The night we were there we saw in the gallery of the
healed a Medical Doctor from Botswanna with his wife. He was infected by
the HIV virus along with his wife. They had come to the meeting in
November of 2001 and had returned in February. She was a computer
analysis. They had two sheets of paper that showed they were HIV
positive and one in January revealed that HIV was not in the blood
system anymore. They still had their signs that listed their sins but
this time they had the written medical evidence from a medical hospital
showing that they were completely free of HIV. It just was these two who
had come from just a few months back, but we saw more than 30 other
individuals who had the same testimony of the before and after."
"We saw cancer of the
rectum healed, we saw the before and after video tapes of when they had
been their before. We saw a journalist who hadn’t been able to walk
for 12 years get up out of a car and start walking. Lagos, Nigeria is a
city of 16 million people and this man had worked for the leading
newspaper there. In a documented video tape of before and after with
validated medical records, we could see that the story that was printed
in the Charisma Magazine was not valid at all. They didn’t even
send a reporter to the church. We saw true repentance at the Church
of All Nations – The Synagogue was a place of healing and
testimony. We prayed for people until 12 midnight and then we rested for
a short period of time and then we went back out again. Around 3 A.M. I
told Brother Joshua I was tired and was suffering from jet lag, I
returned to the compound to sleep. The service that had begun at 5 P.M.
ended Thursday morning at 5 A.M. – by the end of the service more than
250,000 people had come to seek God in healing. Some were instantly
healed and some will come back to tell the story later but what we saw
was true repentance and the power of God right out of the Book of
Acts."
Whether we realize it or not, Israel is a
detriment, an impediment, to certain groups hostile todemocracies and
hostile to what we believe in, hostile to that which makes us the
greatest nation in the history of the world. They have kept them from
taking complete control of the Middle East. If it were not for Israel,
they would overrun the region. They are our strategic ally.
SEVEN
REASONS WHY ISRAEL SHOULD EXIST
WASHINGTON,
D.C.-- I was interested the other day when I heard that the de facto
ruler, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Abdullah, made a statement which was
received by many in this country as if it were a statement of fact, as
if it were something new, a concept for peace in the Middle East that no
one had ever heard of before. I was kind of shocked that it was so well
received by many people who had been down this road before.
I suggest to you that what Crown
Prince Abdullah talked about a few days ago was not new at all. He
talked about the fact that under the Abdullah plan, Arabs would
normalize relations with Israel in exchange for the Jewish state
surrendering the territory it received after the 1967 Six-Day War as if
that were something new. He went on to talk about other land that had
been acquired and had been taken by Israel.
I remember so well on December 4 when
we covered all of this and the fact that there isn’t anything new
about the prospect of giving up land that is rightfully Israel’s land
in order to have peace.
When it gets right down to it, the
land doesn’t make that much difference because Yasser Arafat and
others don’t recognize Israel’s right to any of the land. They do
not recognize Israel’s right to exist.
I will discuss seven reasons, which I
mentioned once before, why Israel is entitled to the land they have and
that it should not be a part of the peace process.
If this is something that Israel wants
to do, it is their business to do it. But anyone who has tried to put
the pressure on Israel to do this is wrong.
We are going to be hit by skeptics who
are going to say we will be attacked because of our support for Israel,
and if we get out of the Middle East—that is us—all the problems
will go away. That is just not true. If we withdraw, all of these
problems will again come to our door.
I have some observations to make about
that. But I would like to reemphasize once again the seven reasons that
Israel has the right to their land. The first reason is that Israel has
the right to the land because of all of the archeological evidence. That
is reason, No. 1. All the archeological evidence supports it.
Every time there is a dig in Israel,
it does nothing but support the fact that Israelis have had a presence
there for 3,000 years. They have been there for a long time. The coins,
the cities, the pottery, the culture—there are other people, groups
that are there, but there is no mistaking the fact that Israelis have
been present in that land for 3,000 years.
It predates any claims that other
peoples in the regions may have. The ancient Philistines are extinct.
Many other ancient peoples are extinct. They do not have the unbroken
line to this date that the Israelis have.
Even the Egyptians of today are not
racial Egyptians of 2,000, 3,000 years ago. They are primarily an Arab
people. The land is called Egypt, but they are not the same racial and
ethnic stock as the old Egyptians of the ancient world. The first
Israelis are in fact descended from the original Israelites. The first
proof, then, is the archeology.
The second proof of
Israel’s right to the land is the historic right. History supports it
totally and completely. We know there has been an Israel up until the
time of the Roman Empire. The Romans conquered the land. Israel had no
homeland, although Jews were allowed to live there. They were driven
from the land in two dispersions: One was in 70 A,.D. and the other was
in 135 A.D. But there was always a Jewish presence in the land.
The Turks, who took over about 700
years ago and ruled the land up until about World War I, had control.
Then the land was conquered by the British. The Turks entered World War
I on the side of Germany. The British knew they had to do something to
punish Turkey, and also to break up that empire that was going to be a
part of the whole effort of Germany in World War I. So the British sent
troops against the Turks in the Holy Land.
One of the generals who was leading
the British armies was a man named Allenby. Allenby was a
Bible-believing Christian. He carried a Bible with him everywhere he
went and he knew the significance of Jerusalem.
The night before the attack against
Jerusalem to drive out the Turks, Allenby prayed that God would allow
him to capture the city without doing damage to the holy places.
That day, Allenby sent World War I
biplanes over the city of Jerusalem to do a reconnaissance mission. You
have to understand that the Turks had at that time never seen an
airplane. So there they were, flying around. They looked in the sky and
saw these fascinating inventions and did not know what they were, and
they were terrified by them. Then they were told they were going to be
opposed by a man named Allenby the next day, which means, in their
language, "man sent from God" or "prophet from God."
They dared not fight against a prophet from God, so the next morning,
when Allenby went to take Jerusalem, he went in and captured it without
firing a single shot.
The British Government was grateful to
Jewish people around the world, particularly to one Jewish chemist who
helped them manufacture niter. Niter is an ingredient that was used in
nitroglycerin which was sent over from the New World. But they did not
have a way of getting it to England. The German U-boats were shooting on
the boats, so most of the niter they were trying to import to make
nitroglycerin was at the bottom of the ocean. But a man named Weitzman,
a Jewish chemist, discovered a way to make it from materials that
existed in England. As a result, they were able to continue that supply.
The British at that time said they
were going to give the Jewish people a homeland. That is all a part of
history. It is all written down in history. They were gratified that the
Jewish people, the bankers, came through and helped finance the war.
The homeland that Britain said it
would set aside consisted of all of what is now Israel and all of what
was then the nation of Jordan—the whole thing. That was what Britain
promised to give the Jews in 1917.
In the beginning, there was some Arab
support for this action. There was not a huge Arab population in the
land at that time, and there is a reason for that. The land was not able
to sustain a large population of people. It just did not have the
development it needed to handle those people, and the land was not
really wanted by anybody. Nobody really wanted this land. It was
considered to be worthless land.
I want the Presiding Officer to hear
what Mark Twain said. And, of course, you may have read
"Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer." Mark
Twain—Samuel Clemens—took a tour of Palestine in 1867. This is how
he described that land. We are talking about Israel now. He said:
A desolate country whose soil is rich
enough but is given over wholly to weeds. A silent, mournful expanse. We
never saw a human being on the whole route. There was hardly a tree or a
shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of a
worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.
Where was this great Palestinian
nation? It did not exist. It was not there. Palestinians were not there.
Palestine was a region named by the Romans, but at that time it was
under the control of Turkey, and there was no large mass of people there
because the land would not support them.
This is the report that the
Palestinian Royal Commission, created by the British, made. It quotes an
account of the conditions on the coastal plain along the Mediterranean
Sea in 1913. This is the Palestinian Royal Commission. They said:
The road leading from Gaza to the
north was only a summer track, suitable for transport by camels or
carts. No orange groves, orchards or vineyards were to be seen until one
reached the Yavnev village. Houses were mud. Schools did not exist. The
western part toward the sea was almost a desert. The villages in this
area were few and thinly populated. Many villages were deserted by their
inhabitants.
That was 1913.
The French author Voltaire described
Palestine as "a hopeless, dreary place."
In short, under the Turks the land
suffered from neglect and low population. That is a historic fact. The
nation became populated by both Jews and Arabs because the land came to
prosper when Jews came back and began to reclaim it. Historically, they
began to reclaim it. If there had never been any archaeological evidence
to support the rights of the Israelis to the territory, it is also
important to recognize that other nations in the area have no
longstanding claim to the country either.
Did you know that Saudi Arabia was not
created until 1913, Lebanon until 1920? Iraq did not exist as a nation
until 1932, Syria until 1941; the borders of Jordan were established in
1946 and Kuwait in 1961. Any of these nations that would say Israel is
only a recent arrival would have to deny their own rights as recent
arrivals as well. They did not exist as countries. They were all under
the control of the Turks.
Historically, Israel gained its
independence in 1948.
The third reason that
land belongs to Israel is the practical value of the Israelis being
there. Israel today is a modern marvel of agriculture. Israel is able to
bring more food out of a desert environment than any other country in
the world. The Arab nations ought to make Israel their friend and import
technology from Israel that would allow all the Middle East, not just
Israel, to become an exporter of food. Israel has unarguable success in
its agriculture.
The fourth reason
I believe Israel has the right to the land is on the grounds of
humanitarian concern. You see, there were 6 million Jews slaughtered in
Europe in World War II. The persecution against the Jews had been very
strong in Russia since the advent of communism. It was against them even
before then under the Czars.
These people have a right to their
homeland. If we are not going to allow them a homeland in the Middle
East, then where? What other nation on Earth is going to cede territory,
is going to give up land?
They are not asking for a great deal.
The whole nation of Israel would fit into my home State of Oklahoma
seven times. It would fit into the Presiding Officer’s State of
Georgia seven times. They are not asking for a great deal. The whole
nation of Israel is very small. It is a nation that, up until the time
that claims started coming in, was not desired by anybody.
The fifth reason Israel
ought to have their land is that she is a strategic ally of the United
States. Whether we realize it or not, Israel is a detriment, an
impediment, to certain groups hostile to democracies and hostile to what
we believe in, hostile to that which makes us the greatest nation in the
history of the world. They have kept them from taking complete control
of the Middle East. If it were not for Israel, they would overrun the
region. They are our strategic ally.
It is good to know we have a friend in
the Middle East on whom we can count. They vote with us in the United
Nations more than England, more than Canada, more than France, more than
Germany—more than any other country in the world.
The sixth reason
is that Israel is a roadblock to terrorism. The war we are now facing is
not against a sovereign nation; it is against a group of terrorists who
are very fluid, moving from one country to another. They are almost
invisible. That is whom we are fighting against today.
We need every ally we can get. If we
do not stop terrorism in the Middle East, it will be on our shores. We
have said this again and again and again, and it is true.
One of the reasons I believe the
spiritual door was opened for an attack against the United States of
America is that the policy of our Government has been to ask the
Israelis, and demand it with pressure, not to retaliate in a significant
way against the terrorist strikes that have been launched against them.
Since its independence in 1948, Israel
has fought four wars: The war in 1948 and 1949—that was the war for
independence—the war in 1956, the Sinai campaign; the Six-Day War in
1967; and in 1973, the Yom Kippur War, the holiest day of the year, and
that was with Egypt and Syria.
You have to understand that in all
four cases, Israel was attacked. They were not the aggressor. Some
people may argue that this was not true because they went in first in
1956, but they knew at that time that Egypt was building a huge military
to become the aggressor. Israel, in fact, was not the aggressor and has
not been the aggressor in any of the four wars.
Also, they won all four wars against
impossible odds. They are great warriors. They consider a level playing
field being outnumbered 2 to 1.
There were 39 Scud missiles that
landed on Israeli soil during the gulf war. Our President asked Israel
not to respond. In order to have the Arab nations on board, we asked
Israel not to participate in the war. They showed tremendous restraint
and did not. Now we have asked them to stand back and not do anything
over these last several attacks.
We have criticized them. We have
criticized them in our media. Local people in television and radio often
criticize Israel, not knowing the true facts. We need to be informed.
I was so thrilled when I heard a
reporter pose a question to our Secretary of State, Colin Powell. He
said:
Mr. Powell, the United States has
advocated a policy of restraint in the Middle East. We have discouraged
Israel from retaliation again and again and again because we’ve said
it leads to continued escalation—that it escalates the violence. Are
we going to follow that preaching ourselves?
Mr. Powell indicated we would strike
back. In other words, we can tell Israel not to do it, but when it hits
us, we are going to do something.
But all that changed in December when
the Israelis went into the Gaza with gunships and into the West Bank
with F-16s. With the exception of last May, the Israelis had not used
F-16s since the 1967 6-Day War. And I am so proud of them because we
have to stop terrorism. It is not going to go away. If Israel were
driven into the sea tomorrow, if every Jew in the Middle East were
killed, terrorism would not end. You know that in your heart. Terrorism
would continue.
It is not just a matter of Israel in
the Middle East. It is the heart of the very people who are perpetrating
this stuff. Should they be successful in overrunning Israel—which they
won’t be—but should they be, it would not be enough. They will never
be satisfied.
No. 7, I
believe very strongly that we ought to support Israel; that it has a
right to the land. This is the most important reason: Because God said
so. As I said a minute ago, look it up in the book of Genesis. It is
right up there on the desk.
In Genesis 13:14-17, the Bible says:
The Lord said to Abram, "Lift up
now your eyes, and look from the place where you are northward, and
southward, and eastward and westward: for all the land which you see, to
you will I give it, and to your seed forever. ..... Arise, walk through
the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give
it to thee."
That is God talking.
The Bible says that Abram removed his
tent and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and
built there an altar before the Lord. Hebron is in the West Bank. It is
at this place where God appeared to Abram and said, "I am giving
you this land,"—the West Bank.
This is not a political battle at all.
It is a contest over whether or not the word of God is true. The seven
reasons, I am convinced, clearly establish that Israel has a right to
the land.
Eight years ago on the lawn of the
White House, Yitzhak Rabin shook hands with PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat.
It was a historic occasion. It was a tragic occasion.
At that time, the official policy of
the Government of Israel began to be, "Let us appease the
terrorists. Let us begin to trade the land for peace." This process
continued unabated up until last year. Here in our own Nation, at Camp
David, in the summer of 2000, then Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Barak
offered the most generous concessions to Yasser Arafat that had ever
been laid on the table.
He offered him more than 90 percent of
all the West Bank territory, sovereign control of it. There were some
parts he did not want to offer, but in exchange for that he said he
would give up land in Israel proper that the PLO had not even asked for.
And he also did the unthinkable. He
even spoke of dividing Jerusalem and allowing the Palestinians to have
their capital there in the East. Yasser Arafat stormed out of the
meeting. Why did he storm out of the meeting? Everything he had said he
wanted was offered there. It was put into his hands. Why did he storm
out of the meeting?
A couple of months later, there began
to be riots, terrorism. The riots began when now Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon went to the Temple Mount. And this was used as the thing that lit
the fire and that caused the explosion.
Did you know that Sharon did not go
unannounced and that he contacted the Islamic authorities before he went
and secured their permission and had permission to be there? It was no
surprise.
The response was very carefully
calculated. They knew the world would not pay attention to the details.
They would portray this in the Arab
world as an attack upon the holy mosque. They would portray it as an
attack upon that mosque and use it as an excuse to riot. Over the last 8
years, during this time of the peace process, where the Israeli public
has pressured its leaders to give up land for peace because they are
tired of fighting, there has been increased terror.
In fact, it has been greater in the
last 8 years than any other time in Israel’s history. Showing
restraint and giving in has not produced any kind of peace. It is so
much so that today the leftist peace movement in Israel does not exist
because the people feel they were deceived.
They did offer a hand of peace, and it
was not taken. That is why the politics of Israel have changed
drastically over the past 12 months. The Israelis have come to see that,
"No matter what we do, these people do not want to deal with us.
..... They want to destroy us." That is why even yet today the
stationery of the PLO still has upon it the map of the entire state of
Israel, not just the tiny little part they call the West Bank that they
want. They want it all.
We have to get out of this mind set
that somehow you can buy peace in the Middle East by giving little plots
of land. It has not worked before when it has been offered.
These seven reasons show why Israel is
entitled to that land.

Sevierville, TN at the Meet Me At The River Conference. (Photography by

SEVIERVILLE, TN -- Last night the power
of God flowed in Tennessee as the pastor of the Brownsville Revival came
and brought the blessing of the impartation to the children of God.
Before he spoke he spoke about Israel and how the Brownsville church is
engaged in the intercessory prayer for the city of Jerusalem.
"Jerusalem is the only city in the bible where we are commanded to
pray for its peace. Something happened to me last Thursday
that was very odd but has to do with end time events. I received a
word that kept going over and over in my spirit. The word was
ubiquitous, I couldn't go to sleep last Thursday night so I went up
stairs to my wife office pulled out a dictionary and read its
definition. To be omnipresent. God spoke to me and said He
is going to pour out his Spirit everywhere. It was the next day
when I was watching CNN during the bombing at the bus stop that a sound
was heard in the background while the commentator was interviewing
someone. One person said what is that and the commentator said
that's the sound of the shofar to signal the Sabbath.
THE DOVE SHOWED UP
Pastor Kilpatrick spoke about the
power of a token, he spoke about a difficult time when he pastored a
church in Indiana and how a dove showed up at his window after he was
dealt with in a harsh way by his church board. "The had
reduced my salary and had insulted my family that night I went to sleep
in tears not letting Brenda know that anything had happened -- the next
morning I heard a stir outside my window and looked out upon my roof to
see a pure white dove on roof of our house. It was the first time
I had ever seen one there with red eyes and a pure while coat. I
knew it was from God and the dove had come to tell me that it was going
to be all right. It was then my fears left me about what had
happened the night before. The next three months I conducted
myself without worry preaching and being pastor until the board called
me to see them again. This time they apologized to me for the way
they had treated me and restored my full salary. The next morning
I heard the noise on the roof again and looked out to see that dove had
returned. I knew it was from God and that he had showed favor on
me." Pastor Kilpatrick showed how little things symbolize God
at work and that while God will some times answer you in a small way --
he will eventually answer you in a greater way. As the night ended
Pastor Kilpatrick went out into the crowd and layed hands on everyone
who came forward for ministry. Douglas Lake Resorts along with Cleddie
Keith has helped sponsored the Meet Me In The River Conference.

JEFF BLAKE NFL QUARTERBACK
SEVIERVILLE, TN -- The second night at the Meet Me At The
River Conference saw a harvest of souls. Jacob Aranza introduced
Jeff Blake an NFL quarterback to the congregation. Blake brought
forth his message of how God came in the middle of his NFL career to
help put together something that he couldn't do with the fame and the
money that came along with football. Blake was drafted at 20 years
of age by the New York Jets. After living in New York, he was
traded to the Cincinnati Bengal's where at 23-years-old he began to be
the starting quarterback after the first two quarterbacks were injured
in a game. The opportunity brought him much notoriety as he gained
the starting quarterback role on the team. It was there he began
to do things that he knew was wrong and almost lost his family.
Blake said, "My father was a man of God and I had been slipping for
a long time - I almost lost everything that was important to me when
someone stepped in helped. Pastor Greg Ball stepped in just as my
wife was ready to leave me. I accepted the Lord and God made a way
when I was almost about to lose everything I had worked so hard for. I
was traded to New Orleans where I met Jacob Aranza. There
something special about Jacob. He really is a father image and my
wife and I call him all the time. God has used Jacob so much in
our lives and he has been such a blessing."
JACOB ARANZA
Jacob Arazna came forward and spoke about his early childhood. Jacob was
raised in a bar after accepting Christ in junior high. One day he
met a man named Cleddie Keith. He said, "I want to go with
you." At first Cleddie thought he just wanted to go to the meeting
with him but Jacob wanted to go home with Cleddie. Cleddie raised Jacob
Aranza and delivered him from a Spanish Bar. Jacob's message came
forward after Jeff Blake sat down. He challenged Christians and
said that there were things in their lives they needed to clean up.
We accept Christ but we never get changed in some of our ways. God
wants to complete the job, he wants to turn you into a complete witness
for him. An altar call was given and several people went forward.
It was a beautiful night as several were delivered of habits and many
asked God to come into their hearts tonight.
Tomorrow night the Pastor of
the Brownsville Revival, John Kilpatrick will speak at the Lee
Greenwood Theatre in Servierville. Cleddie
Keith is the father of Jacob Aranza.
RALPHENA DODSON
The voice of Ralphena Dodson was heard
last night and the glory of God filled the temple. She spoke of
being married to a wonderful man for years and watching him turn an
invalid because of a deteriorating disease, and then she spoke about the
desire she had to be married again. She found a man at the Texas State
Prison System and God directed her to marry him while he was in prison.
She said it would be four and half years before he would be released,
when it came time for his release he died also. It was near
Christmas time as she drove to a church near Houston after they had
buried her husband and she sang the Christmas song -- Come All Ye
Faithful. Ralphena knows the depths of sorrow and you can hear it
in her voice when she sings. God has a great purpose in this
divine voice and the instrument of his choosing is very often not the
one you think that he would choose but in Ralphena's case the level and
the dept of anointing has been birthed through grief.
Cindy Jacobs Visits Brownsville
by Donna Aplin
Brownsville Intercessor
PENSACOLA, FL -- Prophet and intercessor Cindy Jacobs visited
Brownsville Assembly of God Sunday, April 14, 2002. Cindy came bearing a
special message from the Lord for Brownsville. The following is a very
brief account of that message. Brownsville
has special prayer and intercession for Israel every service now and
Sunday was no exception. Hearts are heavy for Israel so the cries go up
to God to protect and guide His chosen.
Angel Is Seen At Brownsville
Cindy saw an angel in the church. He had come for the
purpose of gathering the revival anointing to carry it to Israel. A word
to BRSM is that the Lord is raising up missionaries from the school to
go to Israel and the Middle East. There is a forerunner anointing being
released over the School of Ministry.
The Revival Is Not Over
The revival is not over, God is simply shifting gears
taking it to a higher level. Every service has experienced an awesome
visitation of God’ Spirit. The Lord is preparing Brownsville for a
mighty assignment. He is coming to visit all of Pensacola.
(Editor's Comments from Tennessee) In the last two
prophetic reports Chuck Pierce and Cindy Jacobs have both stated that
the Revival at Brownsville is going to a higher level. What God
says through his prophets in the Holy Place must be remembered because
of the on going struggle of Israel. Brownsville's intercession has
incresed and has risen to a new intensity. Stay tuned to this news
outlet for more as we watch the Church of Jesus Christ go into the later
rain of His final glory upon the earth.

SEVIERVILLE, TN -- Flying in from Louisville, Kentucky Gordon
Robertson's plane landed in Tennessee and the engine stopped as soon as
they touched down. It's just another attempt at the devil to
discourage the servants of God, but it didn't work. Gordon came
with healing in his hands as he preached a message to the church about
the power of God within his servants. It was not just a message on
how God heals but it was a message of instruction toward the church on
how to move in prophecy and power. Robertson was moved to ask
people to demonstrate their gift Monday night. He spoke to the
entire audience to speak over someone in the prophetic and then he moved
in healing virtue. He called out a women with a deteriorating knee
as she came forward, he called out another person to lay hands on her.
The release of power came forward as the women bent down and exercised
her knee. Several people came forward as the body of Christ this
night walked in the manifestations of healing.

DOUGLAS LAKE RESORTS SPONSOR MEETINGS
It was the first night of Meet Me At The
River Conference and it was eventful as the Blackwood's a Southern
Gospel Singing Group sang with a full force of power. The
Blackwoods were the first ones to gain national recognition when Arthur
Godfred had them on his CBS Network Show in the early 50's when Godfred
was the number one television program. The tragedy of the
Blackwood's happened in their father's plane crashed in Clanton, Alabama
in the 50's. The power of God was in the worship also as Pastor
Cleddie Keith opened the first day of 7 straight days of ministry at the
Lee Greenwood Theatre in Sevierville, Tennessee. The conference is
being sponsored by Douglas Lake Resorts and Deer Path Christian
Vacations. On Wednesday a new conference center for Deer Path will
be dedicated near Douglas Lake a the Deer Path Vacation location.
From Cathy Wood
Brownsville Intercessor
Service on Friday night
(I am still in awe over the service. When I walked in at 6:25 the lights
were dim and intercessors and flags were going. Mike was leading
worship..... oh my! It was like walking into another realm completely. I
had no idea the intercessors would come in early. What a difference that
made! I am new on the intercessory prayer team and am assigned to
Thursday nights and the 1st Friday of each month. I almost called and
asked if I could please go to intercessors at 5:00 yesterday but was
afraid they would think I was trying to move ahead faster than they
allow. But wow, I had spent the day also crying and praying over Israel
like Pastor. I had the news on when the story broke and I wailed as if
it were in the US. My cat was so nervous he was walking all over my back
and head on the floor. He hates it when I howl, which is what my prayers
sound like these days. I could barely sleep last night for thinking
about the Lord and whatever it was he was doing last night. I remember
he said we would not be taken off guard when the time comes of his near
appearing. I heard the shofar when it blew LIVE on CNN and the reporter
asked what was that? I have ears to hear! God is soooooo good. We were
to be out of town this weekend, I didn't want to go and I prayed so
hard.. PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME GO LORD! And nothing worked out to go!
Oh Jesus...... that's all I can say is Oh JESUS!
The word pastor had gotten was indigenous or something like that. It
meant omnipresent and he was referring to the fact that when the shear
blew on the news for Sabbath to begin in Israel, we heard it everywhere
and it was a sound to the body of Christ ... wake up ... pray for the
peace of Jerusalem. I tell you...... the power of God was so strong in
that building that I was smashed on my face to the floor. When I tried
to get up, I could only crawl a few feet before I was flat again on my
face. The weight of the glory in that place has never been stronger than
in that meeting.
Tomorrow we are to enter the sanctuary in reverence ... not talking. I
plan to go earlier than usual so I can pray inside there. The past month
has been so extraordinary... What we have longed to see..... we are
seeing!
The United States
Will Be At War For The Next Seven Years
By Donna Aplin
Brownsville Intercessor
PENSACOLA, FL -- People gathered at Brownsville Assembly of God April 7th
to hear what God had to say through Chuck Pierce. Chuck is associated
with Cindy Jacobs and Dutch Sheets of Generals of Intercession.
Brownsville will celebrate 7 years of revival in June.
Chuck said that the beginning of the 8th
year will be the birth of a new season. He said God is coming in a
different way on the 2nd
visit. Brownsville will be known as a heavenly portal.
As goes Israel so goes the church. Israel is in conflict
and so will the church be in conflict. Chuck had prophesied months
before Sept. 11 that the U.S. would be in war by Sept. 18. He said that
Rosh Hashanah, celebrated on Sept. 18, was the beginning of the new year
for the Jews and the beginning a of new season for the church. He
believes the US will be in war for the next seven years. From Isaiah
43:14,15 the people were encouraged to not fear for they will change and
be new sharp instruments.
There will be nine months of testing for what is coming.
There will be confrontations, but God will give His people authority to
legislate the heavens so that darkness cannot reign. Do not lean on your
own understanding for the Lord will keep you in the midst of judgement
The next seven years have begun with provision already put in place by
God.
The portal of heaven is in this place. My Glory is
coming again. I will make this a sending place. You will affect every
state of this nation. The sound of marching feet will go from here. It
is a sound of peace and order. Remove the web of deception. What would
fence in will fall. The next four months will be a time of untangling.
My Shadow will come and people will be healed.
Just as Rosh Hashanah was the beginning of a new year in
God, there will be a shift in the nation April 21. Chuck
encouraged Brownsville to not allow the testing to keep them from
grabbing hold of the next move of God. The gate to the nation is open;
the gifts of this house will affect the nation. Get ready.
MOBILE, AL -- The Remnant is published
today in Pensacola. The focus is on Israel and the middle east.
Editor Jerrell Miller has a focused on the time of sorrows in the Valley
of the Shadow of Death -- Pat Robertson speaks about the Foreign Policy
Shift of the Bush Administration -- he also speaks about the protection
of those who cry out in repentance during these revival days.
Intercession was deep the last two weeks at Brownsville for the Peace of
Jerusalem. Sid Roth speaks about the blessings and curses of the
people of Abraham and has a warning for the makers of foreign policy who
deal with Israel in the peace process.
Cleddie Keith and the
Hungry Preachers are awesome in this edition -- Clay Nash the prophets
of Dyersburg -- Kansas City Revival pastors. So much between the
lines anointing in this edition -- its a beautiful thing.
President Bush And His Dealings With
Israel
MOBILE, AL -- President Bush was once
quoted as saying any leader of a country who harbors a terrorist is a
terrorist, today he changed that definition and said, "Except
Palestine." We are watching a policy that was established with
Harry Truman in 1947 be turned around to cater to the needs of a person
who knows very little about Genesis 12:3. We have seen enough and
we now say is the time to turn this doctrine around and support the
State of Israel. George Bush has decided to negotiate with
Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat, the head of one of the most terrorist
organization in the world the PLO. Bombing after bombing and the
second vote in the United Nations early Saturday morning was voted on
and we once again stood with those who are against God's chosen people.
We stood with others to condemn the invasion of the West Bank, while
more terrorism was in progress during that day and the days following.
I feel as if the Christian Community has been pushed once more to follow
a Republican Party who says one thing and then for the sake of big money
does another while they are in office.
We are seeing countries now line up
against Israel and one of those countries is the United States of
America. Most of us know this could be the fulfillment of the judgment
of our country. Sid Roth spoke on the eve of Passover from Jerusalem and
quoted the Genesis 12:3. In this scripture it describes those who
bless and curse Israel. Roth spoke of the U. S. State Department and
their relentless courting of the Arab nations. President Bush has asked
the Jews to negotiate with the terrorists right after we destroyed the
terrorists in Afghanistan . We know the president walks with God and has
given his heart to Jesus but what we are seeing and what we are hearing
is a man that does not understand that the destiny of this country is
tired directly to the Jewish home land. We have seen the Christian Right
courted by the Republican Party for years and yet we see very little
action on the issues of Abortion, School prayer and now Israel is in
jeopardy and we want to join their enemies. Is it the oil? Ole Bill
Clinton said, "It’s the economy stupid." Have we been
stupid, and have we elected a President who told us one thing and now is
doing another for the sake of the economy. No President in the history
of news taking poles have ever been more popular that George Bush, Jr.
Now the good
news -- we love Israel and we know love covers a multitude of sins -- in
this country the love of Israel has covered the abortionists, the
blocking of school prayer, the pornographers, the homosexuals. It we
pull back from Israel now, then the hand of mercy will be taken from our
country. I have no doubt -- God does not care about the economy but he
does care about His people. The children of Israel will always have
God’s hand on them and that hand is big enough to cover us also. If
this hand goes the other way and is the final tribute to the prophets of
old, then let it happen. God can still hear the voice of his people. I
heard the voice of Pastor Kilpatrick just two days before the New York
tragedy, he said, "God will not take his hand off his
children." If the United States trades the economy for Israel and
that is the way it is supposed to be, then let it happen. We need
revival in this country and if this is the way it is supposed to come
then let God bring us to our knees until we call out to Him.
If we continue on this
current road of destruction we are going to find out that God loves
Israel and will not tolerated anyone who goes against his Chosen
People. Pray for the leadership of this country, pray for
President George Bush.
Let me remind you of one thing, this
is not a political problem but it is a Spiritual problem. Political
situations change with the wind but Spiritual dominion will last for an
eternity. We have three sides represented and each side came out of the
loins of Abraham. One side, the Jews only went so far -- the next side
the Christians went just far enough to accept salvation and the third
side, the Arabs or Moslems went too far. One half of the book is read by
the Jewish nation and that book is absolutely true in every form. The
whole book is read by the Christians and it is fulfilling, but the third
book was delivered by an angel of light -- that book is much like the
Palestinian leadership -- it is full of lies and makes the man Jesus
Christ nothing but a man.
If your comfortable with what you know
about Christianity at this time then you have your head in the sand.
This is a revival paper -- that means I’m not just satisfied to have a
fire policy to get into heaven but I want to cause enough trouble in the
kingdom of darkness to break a wall down and allow those that don’t
know Him in. Are you ready to let Jesus in your church today or are you
just satisfied to be there by yourself. I want to have a party of plenty
-- I can’t see myself that selfish. Believe me we have paid the price
to print this word, and we’re not satisfied with where we are today.
Got any ambition Christian -- are you aggressive. You see my mind
continually thinks about revival - I don’t see myself selfish enough
to just make it through the door. To dwell on politics for the solution
to Israel, is like believing that you could catch a rain storm all
within one paper cup. Remember we are dealing with eternity here. We
know Israel is the time clock of all humanity, but we can’t be so
focused on the Jewish nation and forget our mission. Our mission is to
pray, read and seek His face. I’m sure Moses had more problems that he
could handle with the children of God going through a desert, but Moses
knew how to find fellowship with God. No one in the entire Bible, except
Jesus Christ had more fellowship with the Father than Moses. Do you
realize he saw God the Father, it wasn’t Jesus he was looking at when
he was wedged in the rock. Moses saw the back side of the creator Father
God and heard directly from his thrown many times on how to do things.
He had a relationship which would be the divine pattern for his people.
PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL -- All
the wonderful people we met last fall are in our prayers. We met
people in Amman, Jordan and also in Jerusalem. We pray at this hour for
our Jewish tour guide Slomo and his family and also Albert our
Arab Christian Guide in Amman -- That there families be spared from any
of the violence in this Holy Land.
Father we ask that you preserve and
protect your children in this place of violence today. We pray for
the wise guidance of George Bush, may he see the truth of this situation
and act appropriately.
SID ROTH SPEAKS OUT ABOUT AMERICA'S
POLICY ON ISRAEL
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL --
Sid Roth was in Jerusalem speaking to the 700 Club and he stated that he
thought something major was about to happen. The statements were made on
the day of Passover on March 27, 2002 by television linked to CBN
station in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Roth made a prophetic statement and
said that the judgment of this nation could happen through scriptural
prophecy. In Genesis 12:3 that says, And I will bless them that
bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed. The Security Council of the
United Nations has voted unanimously to establish a Palestinian State,
and the United States was part of that agreement. This will call for
Israel to give back the West Bank area..
In the
war of 1967 the west bank was captured by Jewish people in the Six Day
War, and this is the land that is in dispute. If the proposal goes forth
then much of Jerusalem will be under the new Palestinian State.
Roth said in the book of Joel
there is a promise that says judgement will come to those
nations for the dividing of Israel. Roth went on to say that Israel
would not survive without a great deliverance from God. "Israel is
sick of their sons and daughters being murdered." In the recent
violence more than 350 Israeli citizens have been murdered by Moslem
extremist.
JUDGEMENT
OF THE UNITED STATES
Roth was referring to the President
George Bush and the State Department of the United States endorsing a
Palestinian State. In this plan it would push back holy places in
Jerusalem -- it would push back the gains fought for in 1967 during the
six day war. Roth stated the prophecy spoken of in the bible will become
the actual judgement of the United States. He went on to say that this
would bring about great revival in the United States.
The question of this President has
risen among the Christian people in America who understand the curse of
God upon those who curse Israel. Some say that politics is the art of
compromise but this is one issue that will not be compromised. If a
Palestinian State is created then it will become a loading dock for all
kinds of weapons to be brought in right next to the Jewish homeland.
Roth said that he believes there is
going to be a major war in Israel and they would face of great tragedy.
He also said that when they carve up the state of Israel those nations
who were in evolved in that would be judged through scriptural prophecy.
The nation was created in one day in 1947 and the old
trucks of the first war still line the highway as you go into Jerusalem.
The pledge of the Israeli soldiers made at Mesada is, "Never
Again." Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
RAMONA, OK -- Across a few hills near
Bartlesville, Oklahoma is a church that has been in red hot revival for
the last 13 months. Driving down Country Road 1600 you can see a
field of horses having their off-springs. It should be Spring
right now but the weather is in the 20's but one thing is for sure they
are coming to a fire. Evangelist John Davis has been obedient to
hear the word of the Lord and come to the Happy Hill Church to remind
the people there is more. God has come down and the people have
been saved, renewed and delivered from religion. God has put his
hand on this land called Happy Hill and has called it Holy.
Evangelist John Davis the
Revival Ambassador preached on the resurrection of Jesus.
"Hollywood has their Oscars but we have our Easter."
Davis poured his heart out last night as Bear Boyle lead the church in
high praise before the evangelist came to the pulpit. It was a
night of celebration as the revival at Happy Hill entered its 13 month.
The altars were full last night of people getting right with God, it's
called repentance and it is this kind of stirring that the I have seen
on my trip from Sevierville and Dyersburg, Tennessee; Comanche,
Oklahoma; Kansas City, Missouri and now in Ramona, Oklahoma. The
message is repentance and the power of God.
Pastor Robert Boyle of Happy
Hill Church and his wife Rita have had a vision to touch this northern
area of Oklahoma with what is known as the river revival of God.
The river has flowed and the power has touched all. Their son is
the worship leader and his name is Bear Boyle. Ever since Bear
returned from the Brownsville Revival two summers ago his music has hit
a new level. It is called the impartation and anyone who receives
from this flow is never the same. Bear Boyle has a powerful hand
on him directly from heaven -- the joy and the release of God is in his
voice. It still going after 13 months and in recent days God has
set a new fire in this group of Okies. Intercessory prayer has
been a back bone of this move -- one day a week the intercessors go to
seek the presence of God. God has been coming in these
meetings over and over because of their committment. Long before there
was revival there was prayer and now after years of seeking the face of
God the blessing has come forth.
God always uses a man in these
events of glory and that man is John Davis but the trueness of these
splendid moments comes from the hours of prayer brought before the
Father of heaven.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Pat Robertson is
looked on as a voice of wisdom that speaks for the Christian Right in
America. His wise words came forth at World Revival Church in
Kansas City and he didn't mix words about the policies of the United
States State Department. "There are those in the State
Department who want to sign a peace treaty to establish a Palestinians
State and give back the Eastern Side of Jerusalem. The U.N.
Secretary General and the entire security council has the full support
of this policy."
It was a warning from the
Robertson and the warning also included a prediction of more terrorism
toward the United States. Robertson said that a survey was taken
about statements he made about saying that the protection of God had
fallen from around the United States. Robertson said that only
five percent of America agreed with him. Robertson stated that
over 40,000 millions babies had died since 1973, porn sites are up to
72,000 on the internet. School prayer removed from schools and many more
signs have pointed to the fall of the United States as a strong
Christian nation. Homosexual rights have been forced on believers.
Robertson spoke about the U.S. State Department and how it is about to
make the biggest mistake in policy by forcing them to give back land
that belongs to the Jews and was given by the hand of God.
Robertson the
statesman will be remembered as a Presidential Candidate in the
Republican Party that won all 77 electoral votes in the Michigan
Republican Primary but the inside tract of that party awarded those
votes to George Bush, Sr. God has used Robertson to expose the
behind the door political deals and now he is warning the country of an
impending judgment of this country if it does not turn from its policies
on Israel. Robertson spoke of the mark on those who would be
preserved in the last days. Reading from Ezekiel 9 he spoke of the
judgement of those who are unjust. He also spoke about how Lott,
and Noah were led by God to prepare for judgement. He said the
body of Christ would have that mark spoken of the righteous when things
begin to fall apart. He spoke of the Remnant of holiness that
holds the country from judgement.
Robertson was visiting his
friend Steve Gray in the sixth anniversary of revival. Pat Robertson and
the Christian Broadcasting Network are dedicated to new river move of
God that is happening in the Americas at Toronto, Pensacola and Kansas
City.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- God has spoken through
several pastors this week at the Ministers Conference at World Revival
Church in Kansas City, Missouri. It's called the network and it is
the first organized group of river ministers. These people are
different, they are together and they know how to approach God for
revival. Pastor after pastor have taken the pulpit in Kansas City
to ring the bell of revival. Today we saw a pastor from Illinois,
Alabama and Kathy Gray speak with revelation. Each message has had
tremendous revelation.
NANCY THOMASON (Honor of God
Restored)
From Aurora, Illinois Nancy
Thomason spoke about taking over a church in ruin to build it to its
full potential in revival. "All honor must be restored to
God. Jesus wants a church that operates in Godly wisdom. The
power of God gives us authority. Revival has prepared the church
to be the church -- to open the door to the lost because the people have
been touched by God to prepare a place."
RANDY WADDELL GET READY TO DIE
Danny Waddell is from
Anniston, Alabama and his message to the people who comes to his church
is, "If your coming here your getting ready to die."
Waddell pulled no punches about revival -- in his outstanding sermon he
spoke of the sacrifice of revival and spoke of a church which has
completely pulled away from the world.
KATHY GRAY (Joshua Ultimate
Servant)
Kathy Gray spoke
at the ministers luncheon and another brilliant sermon flowed from a
pastor at the conference. Kathy spoke about how Joshua served
Moses for 40 years before he was promoted. "Joshua was half
way up the mountain waiting upon Moses, as Moses stood in the presence
of God." Gray said that the faithfulness of this servant
prepared him to enter the promised land. "Joshua means God is
salvation, we must remember God is salvation and we are not." As
Moses died God immediately moved Joshua into the position of leader.
Because of his obedience God rewarded him with the ultimate place of
leadership.
PAT ROBERSON TODAY
Today Pat
Roberson of CBN Television Network will speak at World Revival Church --
to God be the Glory.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- It was a powerful day
today at World Revival Church in the morning missionaries took the
platform to share with the group of pastors how much the church was
seeding into other parts of the world with the gospel and then Pastor
Dick Drumeller took the platform to preach a powerful sermon on speaking
faith now to every situation. Dick pastor's a church in Liberty,
Kansas near the Oklahoma border.
For the first time in the
conference on Friday night Steve Gray addressed the large assembled
crowd. Many had come this night because it was a regular revival crowd.
He spoke about the night that Christ was betrayed and what was going on
at the table. "Jesus was faced off with the devil the next
day and all around him there was a mixture of emotions going on.
There was one who would betray Jesus at the table and then there was an
on going battle among the disciples to see who was the greatest
leader."
Pastor Gray said, "I just
thankful that I am in an area of ministry where I can bless
people." Gray spoke of the accomplishments of the great
church over the last six years and what God was going to do next.
He spoke of the new Healing House that will be located on the church
grounds. While their has been a great move of healing in the western
area churches of California and Washington state no other ministry has
ventured in the healing area like World Revival Church.
"People are coming to the church with these giftings and have a
desire to work in the new work. We're just kinds of feeling our
way right now and finding out what God wants of us. Kenneth
Copeland will come and dedicate this new facility as soon as it is
finished." The plans are being finalized and the ground will
be broken very soon. Tomorrow Pat Roberson will be the main speaker at
the last day of the conference.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- The Remnant has been
on the road for the last week and has moved from Sevierville, Tennessee,
Dyersburg, Tennessee; Comanche, Oklahoma and now we are at the
Minister's Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. The
temperature outside of the church was 23 degrees with a wind chill
factor of 15 degrees but inside the building the Pastors Conference
proved to be a very hot fire.
Pastor Steve Gray asked two preachers to
come forward and share for 30 minutes. The first pastor was from
Missouri and the second pastor was from New Jersey. Mike Hensley
of Joplin, Missouri spoke about the Dead Sea and how it represented the
dead lifeless people in the world. He gave four characteristic of
the Dead Sea. He said that (1) The lowest place on earth (2) Fed
by the Jordan River (There is no life in it) and (4) There are not
outlets from it. Pastor Hensley said many believe that the cities of
Sodom and Gomorrah are at the bottom of the Dead Sea. He spoke of
how the church has been buried in religion and that the life has been
sucked out of the church by religion. He said the dead sea
represented the world and life less people. He spoke about the
harvest and how great it was and how the laborers are few. It was
a wake-up call type of message toward the church.
Pastor Al Pandola from River of Life
Church in Waretown, New Jersey spoke next. We knew he was Italian
and the passion that he displayed this night set a fire in the hearts of
those who were there to hear. Pastor Al spoke about being a
winner and going through the distress of trying to lead people in the
message of revival. He spoke about David and how he overcame the
deepest time of discouragement before he was made King of Israel.
Tonight it was very special as the ministers came forward at the end of
the service to receive prayer.

DYERSBURG, TN --
Western Tennessee is a place bound in religion, and the original
prophecy spoke over the church was token down from the wall of the
Christ The King Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee and a new proclamation
was made to open the door of Heaven to this part of Tennessee.
Pastor Sammy Hinn spoke of the authority of Christ and his mantle had
been laid on Pastor Clay Nash for the region. Anthony Chapman a
pastor from York, England spoke over Pastor Nash and said from this day
on he would be a voice over the region. Surely God had done a work
in Dyersburg, Tennessee this week. There is one more day of the
conference.

DYERSBURG, TN --
His name is Anthony Chapman and he pastors one of the great churches in
the river move of God in England. In an age old town called York, the
Rock Church has set a standard for all to see. He’s a prophet and he
has also served time in the pastorate in Nebraska as an Assembly of God
pastor but what he had to say about how sharp the ax is in a
believers life gave new revelation to the church in Dyersburg during the
Sounds of The Kingdom Conference.
He used a powerful scripture to
define the lack of the anointing in the church today. Ecclesiastes
10:10 If the iron
be blunt, and he does not whet the edge, then must he put to more
strength; but wisdom is profitable to direct.
While Anthony was talking about an
ax with a dull blade he was also speaking about a church who has lost
the cutting edge of ministry. In the scripture it talks about a man with
a dull ax, one might think that he must have more power to fell the tree
but the answer in dropping the tree is found in the sharpness of the ax.
"More power is not the answer, we must redefine the edge --
manifestation comes when we define the edge. Our churches are working
harder with less effect in reaching the lost. The churches ax is dull.
The church has an appearance of success by an increase in activity but
the workers are disillusioned because the work has produced weariness
and workers are unfulfilled. Activity is not a sign of success -- the
church has lost the edge."
"In the
scripture the tree is resistant to the ax because of the dullness of the
ax -- the dullness of the ax creates an appearance of hardness. Our ax
has become dull, but we give the impression of hardness. The target has
never changed but the object that we attack the target with has. Our
problems in the church is not the harvest that still remains the target
of the ax but the people have lost the cutting edge. Even Jesus said
pray for the harvest but pray that God will send workers into the
harvest. I don’t believe in praying for revival but I do believe in
praying for the church and praying for the edge on the churches ax. You
can tell the sharpness
of the edge by the way it cuts the wood, it even has a unique sound. I
knew a church where they had reached half the city but when you went to
their services there was just a few people in the city. Effort and
strength does not cut the tree but it is the sharpness of the blade of
the ax. The real world is outside of the walls of the church. When
you ask them to come to church
that is a religious question. You do not come to church but the church
must come to the building. You will never restore the edge of the ax
without friction. There should be a rubbing together, a friction coming
into the blade of the ax. Do not blame the hardness of the tree but
sharpness of the ax."
The church is much like a flight
simulator. You go inside of it, take off from New York and land in Paris
but when you come out of the simulator you haven’t went anywhere.
There was an old saying about the Duke of York who had 10,000 men -- he
marched them up the hill -- he marched them down the hill but when they
were in between they were neither
up nor down. That’s the church with great numbers going up and down
the hill but never going anywhere at all. It was a powerful sermon
on the ax during the second day of the meeting. Two more days left
in this powerful manifestation of Gods glory. Dyersburg is the place
where Lester Summerall received his vision on mission work.

DYERSBURG, TN -- Last night Pastor Clay Nash of Christ
the King Church invited all the city leaders into the church for a night
of prayer for the city of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Nash said that
when they came to the city in 1987 there was a direct word given in
prophecy that began the work. "I want God to dwell in
Dyersburg -- we believe we have been sent here to define the role of the
church in these last day. It not a case of right or wrong but it
is a matter of life and death. We believe that God moves through
elected officials and we want to be of help." Pastor Nash
spoke to them and asked them to let him know at any time when they
needed prayer. Pastor Nash closed the night by telling the people
at the Sounds of the Kingdom Conference that there were four river heads
in the Kingdom of God: maturity; reality; change and encouragement.
"The four elements are in the churches that God has called forth in
these last days. Church dwells dwell only on their own personal needs
while kingdom dwellers focus on the needs of others."

DYERSBURG, TN -- The Remnant has moved over to the other
side of Tennessee this week to cover the Sounds of the Kingdom
Conference in Dyersburg, Tennessee. It was a power morning as
Pastor Sammy Hinn brother of healing evangelist Benny Hinn opened the
conference this morning.
Pastor Sammy Hinn Rebuilds The
Altar of Worship
Pastor Hinn spoke about rebuilding the
altars of worship this morning and little did he know a prophet of God
spoke of the same thing in 1988 over the city of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
God moved in this morning through the voice of Hinn and gave a powerful
word on repentance. "Before we enter the realm of glory, God
wants to reveal what is in us. The worship of God is after his heart.
Worship is a state of being in the way you express yourself to
God." Hinn spoke about individual life styles and how they
never change. He went on to say that if people would repent that their
whole way of worship would change. "God's interested in your
life-style. How can you stand and worship and then leave the building
the same ole way. God sees the heart and what you do outside of
the worship service, he's more interested in your life-style outside the
church then what you are doing before him in worship. Jesus told
the women at the well that she had had five husbands and the one she was
with now was the same way. Then Jesus said men would worship him
in Spirit and in Truth. The true heart of worship will heal,
restore and refresh if people are walking without sin."
Two More Days of the Conference
In Dyersburg....
This was just the first day
of the conference. Pastor Clay Nash is holding three day meeting
at Christ The King Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The conference
includes: Clay Nash; Sammy Hinn, Anthony Chapman of Rock Church, York,
England.

SEVIERVILLE, TN -- Today there is a glow of the Spirit
at Douglas Lake Resort in Sevierville, Tennessee. Cleddie Keith
last night was the last speaker at the Hungry Preachers Conference in
Sevierville, Tennessee. The power of God came to touch and to heal
the Hungry Preachers. From all over the nations they came from
Alma, Michigan to Galt, California the power touched and restored and
reassured the faithful that God is about the open the door of the
Supernatural a little wider. Cleddie Keith spoke about the
characteristics of the a move of God and what build the fire in the
hearts of the people. He spoke about how the move of God must not be
centered around a personality but the church should engage the believer
in the fellowship of the priesthood to take the ministry outside the
church. Anyone who knows Cleddie Keith knows that he is a friend
to the pastor and the evangelist that is in the river. He is a man
who carries the load of other men in the ministry. Pastor Keith is
a pastor in Florence, Kentucky but he is a pastor to many men of God who
seek his wisdom and encouragement around the nation. The Hungry
Preachers Conference is over today but the memory of what went on for
three days in Tennessee will be taken home to other congregations who
are hungry for renewal and revival in America. More and more God
is showing His face by his awesome presence in meeting such as these.
After
a brief visit back in Mobile on Friday, Editor Jerrell Miller will come
and visit Dyersburg, Tennessee for the Sounds of the Kingdom Conference.
This month will be a very active month for travel for the editor as he
covers and ministers in the Heartland of America.

SERVIERVILLE, TN -- Pastor Bill Johnson of the Bethel
Church in Redding, California is a man full of testimony and teaching.
His powerful teaching brought forth the reality of Jesus the healer.
He said it was all about presence and the greatest draw back in the
church today is fear.
Many of his concepts and teachings are in place at his wonderful church
in Northern California. He says his people are strange but that
they don't know strangers. They look at the town of reading as a
place to prove the power of the Holy Spirit. Johnson shared
testimony after testimony this morning and last night. Several
were healed in the large crowd late last night and this morning.
Johnson's teachings have deep revelations to them and he today is a
leader in field. The power and demonstration and teaching at
Bethel Assembly of God is one of the leading churches in the river
today. Not since the days of the early Charismatic move of God in
the sixties has there been a more powerful teacher than Bill Johnson.

SERVIERVILLE, TN -- Yesterday was a day of giving as
several came to the Hungry Preachers Conference simply to be
restored to the faith of one who has been there through experience.
Rodney Howard-Browne had several pastors and missionaries stand before
the Hungry Preachers of Dear Path Resort
to learn of his divine provision. A women with three children and an
unfaithful husband told a large crowd how she went ahead in ministry
despite her short comings.
It was a day of eventful glory as Rodney Howard-Browne delivered his
message and then waded into the large crowd to impart the Spirit of
Revival on all who were in the house. Howard-Browne's church in
Tampa, Florida is in full revival now. He has called off all road
ministry this year for his revival at the church, the Hungry Preachers
Conference was the only accept ion to the rule, and what a glory was in
the house yesterday. Today Pastor Bill Johnson will minister.
Johnson is the Pastor of the Great Bethel Church in Redding, California.

Every revival in history has had its problems. There
are two parts to every revival — the God part and the man part. God is
perfect but the man part is flawed, we live and learn through the
mistakes of revival. One man said after the Hebrides Revival was
over, "If you ever have revival don’t lose it." Don’t tell
me how revival started, tell me how it ended.
I believe there is a mantle of Spiritual DNA in
revival that can be transferred to another person. After the Azusa
Street Revival was over several people longed for the experience but
it had gone. I believe that God has invested in people like William
Seymour and Charles Parham, and these men and their times and work are a
living model of the move of God. By knowing them and their work we are
able to experience revival today. I know that just reading about these
men God used gives us the hope that He will come again through other
men. If God sent a revival to Wales in 1904 and 1905, and if he sent one
to Azusa Street in Los Angeles, California, then He can send one right
now. I have stood on the ground of some of these places and have asked
God for that mantle of anointing from these places. I have asked if
there is anything left on this property give it to me so I can give it
to someone else.
One hundred and two years ago there were no
Pentecostal churches in the world at that time. There were people who
used the name of Pentecost and the Holiness Churches but no Pentecostal
Churches as we know them today. There are more than 550 million
Pentecostal believers in the world today, that is a phenomenal growth in
revival that ever could be imagined, how could a movement grow from one
person on January 1, 1901 to a half a billion believers in the world
today.
How the Pentecostal revival started in a little bible
college in Topeka, Kansas is what I want to speak about today. The
Pentecostal revival as we are talking about it today is speaking about
the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. Before
1901 there was no one who held that view, that’s not to say that
people didn’t speak in tongues before that date. You can trace all the
way down through the book of Acts. There were small outbreaks of the
Holy Ghost in the hills of Tennessee and there are recorded outbreaks of
the Holy Ghost where people manifested in speaking in tongues in several
places. In Moody’s meetings there were groups that spoke in tongues.
There was a group in Texas prior to 1900 who spoke in tongues. There was
an Englishman, Edward Irving who saw a real manifestation of the Holy
Ghost in the early 1800s. The difference between those people and the
people in Topeka, Kansas was that those people saw speaking in tongues
as just another manifestation of the Holy Spirit but in Topeka tongues
was recognized as the evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
It started with one man. Revival is about God, but
God choses a man to initiate the fire of revival. Charles Fox Parham was
the absolute founder of the Pentecostal Revival. He wrote the
first Pentecostal book, he published the first Pentecostal magazine, he
had the first Pentecostal bible college, he developed the first
Pentecostal theology, and he credentialed the first Pentecostal
ministers in the early 1900s. He was the founder of the movement.
Parham was born in 1873 in Muskoteen County, Iowa.
His father was a painter and a horse collar maker. He was a mama child
because he was an only child, they moved to Kansas where Parham spent
most of his early life. He had many illnesses as a child and he was
built as small person. He had rheumatic fever, a condition that causes
your heart to fail. He had all kinds of intestinal diseases including
tate worms and stomach problems. He was just a sick kid and he grew up
to be a small man. His mother died when he was 12 years old and it had a
profound affect upon his life. When his mother died she made a promise
with her son that she would meet him in heaven. She was a Christian but
the Parhams were not a church going family. He made his mother a promise
that he would get saved and at 13 years of age Parham received the Lord
into his life. Before Charles Parham was saved he was called to preach,
when he was just a small boy he knew he was going to be a preacher. At
15 years of age he was already traveling out as an evangelist, the Lord
was moving rapidly in his life. When he was 17 years old he went to a
bible college in Windfield, Kansas called Southwest Kansas College. When
he was going to school all of the illnesses of his early childhood began
to show up again. He noticed that preachers were poor, he decided he
didn’t want to live that way so he decided he was going to be a
medical doctor. He changed his course of studies and all of these early
childhood illnesses began to happen again. He thought he was going to
die and in that condition he said God if you will heal me I will serve
you. God healed him instantly and he became a strong believer in faith.
He didn’t immediately get his strength back and so he walked on the
sides of his feet — he hobbled around on his ankles. Then once again
he petitioned God, "God if you will completely heal me I will
surrender and preach the gospel." And God once again did the job on
him. He received his strength and his ankles completely went back into
place. Sometime people don’t get was they want from God because God
has not gotten what He wants from them, we can pray for people like that
until our faces are blue but their condition is not going to change
until they surrender. Parham learned that obedience would bring the
blessing.
He was licenced in the Methodist Church, he didn’t
get along with the people in charge of the church. He left the Methodist
Church and never went back to it. He began to associate with the
Holiness people. Early in the move of God the Pentecostal people were
called holiness, but the real Holiness people split off from the
Methodist Church. In the early 1800s. the Methodist Church began to turn
toward liberalism and the people who believed in the Wesleyian Doctrine
started their own movement, and many are in existence today The Church
of God of Anderson, Indiana and the Nazarene Church are two of these
groups. They believed that sanctification was a second work of God, when
you were sanctified you were set aside for God only. Holiness believed
that sanctification was a second work and Parham believed in that second
work of grace. Parham was developing his own theology. He listen to
Benjamin Irwin who belonged to the Fire Baptized Holiness
Association. He preached that you got saved, you got sanctified and
then you received a baptism of fire. That sounds a lot like Pentecostal
doctrine but what he didn’t teach is that you receive the tongues
during this experience. He believed there was a third manifestation of
fire baptized, but from this Parham developed his healing work from this
in Topeka, Kansas — it was a healing home. It was hospital without
medicine, Parham didn’t believe in medicine. He was 25 years old and
he was publishing a magazine called the Apostolic Faith. When he
went on a trip to New York the people he left in charge took over his
work and Parham let them have it. He stopped in Chicago and visited with
John Alexander Dowie and Parham witnessed the healing power of God
there. He left and went to A.B. Simpson in New York and learned more
about holiness. He went to Maine and met a man named Frank Samford,
Samford didn’t believe in taking offerings. Aften meeting him Parham
never received another offering in his ministries.
When he returned to Topeka, he started a work called
the Bethel Bible College with 40 students. The people he
attracted were not young people but mature Christians who had already
been in the work of God. Everyone who came to school had to sell
everything they had. They opened up an old mansion called Stones Folly.
A man named Stone built it and went bust trying to build it. It was like
a small castle that had lots of rooms and every room was finished by a
certain wood, oak, ash and several other woods. They lived by faith,
people were led to give to their work. They had 24 hour prayer at the
mansion — there was a Victorian round room at the top of the mansion
where 24 hour prayer went up around the clock. Prayer was the secret to
what was about to happen, they went on a ten day fast, while Parham left
to go to Kansas City to preach revival. Before he left Parham told the
students to study the Bible and find the common element of the Baptism
in the Holy Spirit. He already knew what it was but when he came back
from his revival every student had come up with the same evidence of the
Holy Spirit Baptism. In the Book of Acts when people are Baptized
in the Holy Spirit they all commonly spoke in tongues. One of the
greatest moments recorded in modern day Pentecost happened as Parham
layed his hands on Agnes Ozman and she received the Baptism in the Holy
Ghost with the manifestation of tongues. She is the first recorded
person to speak in tongues in the 20th Century. The entire history of
the Christian church changed at this moment because the experience of
the Baptism in the Holy Ghost became a Biblical Book of Acts
experienced. Ozman was 40 years of age when she received, this was a
return to apostolic faith. Ozman couldn’t speak in English for three
days, even when she wrote she wrote in the unknown tongue. It was
headline news as people came from all over the country to record the
news in their newspapers in Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati and New York.
From that time on Parham became disillusioned as he
lost a child to death. Many of his people left him. He wondered around
in his own wilderness for a few years. Mary Author came to him from
Galena, Kansas a great move of God happened when was instantly healed
and Baptized in the Holy Ghost. He was invited to come to Galena, Kansas
where hundreds were Baptized in the Holy Ghost and the birth of the Assemblies
of God started in 1904 from there. A family from Orchard, Texas near
Houston heard him preach and asked him to come there — God did the
same thing in Orchard, Texas. Parham then went to Houston, Texas. He
started another Bible School in Texas and that is where William Seymour
learned of the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Parham’s work was never the
same after Houston, was a racist as he critized the work at Azusa
Street. He was never the same every again and was not used greatly again
beyond the Houston experience. Later John G. Lake rebuked him for his
stand against Azusa Street and told him that he was never used to his
potential because his attitudes toward the move in Los Angeles.

"Principal George Jeffreys is a wonderful
evangelist. He has a full round voice that is never used for raving and
large dark eyes that beget confidence. When he speaks others must listen
and when he appeals he does not appeal in vain. ‘Pray,’ he says, or
‘sing,’ and his followers would do it. His hold on them is sure;
they hang onto his every word, and believing implicitly, obey.
"It is the quiet convincing tone in which he speaks
that gives Jeffreys much of his evangelical influence. Men sometimes
speak of a powerful preacher as one who talks loudly and storms and
gesticulates. But there is nothing of that about this man. He never
shouts, yet there is a fervour and force in the very smoothness of his
voice. Sometimes, to give emphasis, he bites off his words at the end.
Sometimes he leans slightly forward, urging gently, but passionately,
persistently, ‘If you want to be saved, why not be saved now?’ He is
not shouting at you, but talking persuasively, as a dear friend.
"Very rarely he smiles, and the fleeting gleam that
passes over his face seems to leave his dark eyes more serious, more
intensely earnest than before. And even more rare is the swift, dramatic
gesture of the outstretched arm and pointing forefinger. He used it once
yesterday, and with it came the assurance, soft but vividly startling,
‘And you shall be saved’. His evangelical power is such that faith
springs to meet it." (A description of George Jeffreys given by a
reporter present at the opening of the Bournemouth Elim Church in
September 1927).
by David Littlewood - Swallownest,
Yourshire - England
Reckoned by such an eminent evangelical leader as Martyn
Lloyd-Jones to be the most outstanding British evangelists of this
century, George and Stephen Jeffreys were products of the Welsh revival.
Born in Maesteg, they came to Christ in Siloh Chapel on November 20,
1904, when George was fifteen.
The brothers were very different. Whereas Stephen, who
worked as a miner, was robust and fiery, George was quieter, looked
frail and worked at the Co-op. His health was weak, resulting in a
facial paralysis and speech impediment. However, when at prayer one
Sunday morning he experienced such an inflow of the Holy Spirit that he
was completely healed.
After initial training under Thomas Myerscough, George
first began to work with Stephen in Wales in 1913. However, after
preaching for Alexander Boddy at the Sunderland Convention, he was
invited to Ireland where, together with a group of men from Monaghan, he
formed the Elim Evangelistic Band which he later registered as the Elim
Pentecostal Alliance.
A gifted evangelist and meticulous administrator,
Jeffreys first planted churches in Ireland before turning his attention
to mainland Britain. Between 1925 and 1934 he embarked on a sustained
period of evangelistic activity such as this country had not seen since
Moody and Sankey. Everywhere he went there were huge crowds, dozens of
healings and thousands of converts. Without any real support from other
churches, and with only a handful of workers at the start of a campaign,
he went from place to place establishing thriving new churches.
In Southampton, Florence Munday had been a helpless
cripple with a wasting disease. But after prayer she was freed from all
pain and her wasted leg grew four-and-a-half inches! Florence went on to
pastor an Elim church in Gosport. Glyn Thomas, who sold newspapers in
Swansea, had a large hump on his back which disappeared after prayer.
Perhaps Jeffreys’ most phenomenal campaign was in
Birmingham where 10,000 converts were recorded with 1,000 baptised and
over 1,000 healed. Among those converted were Olive Reeve (later pastor
of Hockley) and Gerald Chamberlain (founder of the Pentecostal Child
Care Association). Within six years there were eleven Elim churches in
Birmingham. Jeffreys also enjoyed success in mainland Europe including
Switzerland where he saw 14,000 converts between 1934 and 1936.
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the campaigns
was not just the crowds or healings but the new churches which grew from
them. The 70 churches that had been established by 1928 rose to almost
100 in 1930 and to 153 in 1933. The fruit of Jeffreys’ work proved to
be lasting.
It was therefore a real tragedy that such a gifted
evangelist’s final years were marred by disputes over church
government. He appeared to be continually changing his mind about the
right form of government and when, in 1939, the Elim Conference rejected
his demands for change, he resigned and formed the Bible-Pattern Church
Fellowship in Nottingham. This not only caused grief and division in the
Elim fellowship but also distracted Jeffreys from his real ministry —
in evangelism and church planting.
History seems to have judged Jeffreys’ move a mistake,
for whereas the Elim movement has gone from strength to strength (albeit
incorporating some of the changes Jeffreys envisaged), the Bible-Pattern
has remained a small fellowship.
Although there were some more campaigns in the 1950’s,
none remotely matched what Jeffreys had formerly achieved and we are
left wondering what further impact might have been made for the kingdom
had he been able to plough his full energies into what was, without
doubt, the most effective evangelistic ministry this country has known
since the days of Wesley and Whitefield.
However, in the year of the first combined Elim-AOG
conference, we must pay tribute to this man who, along with his brother,
Stephen, made an enormous contribution to the life of the fledgling
Pentecostal movement. George Jeffreys died in 1962, aged 72, loved and
mourned by thousands of people whose lives his ministry had changed.

Early Revival -
Birthing The Baby
By Rev. Jerrell Miller/Editor
The Remnant International
MOBILE, AL -- You can’t have a fire unless the devil is drawn to your
house. You can’t get close to God and not expect the devil to show up.
You better have some strong intercessors in your church because your
pastor will have everything in hell thrown at her at times. Hell is
going to have a strategy, those who will walk with the pastor will stay.
Some of the people will fall away for a while and then come back. Some
will be dead on arrival when the fire hits. I can remember the glory in
the early days of the revival when I couldn’t stand up on the stage.
It didn’t take long, about a year and a half into revival the
newspapers showed up. For several days they roasted us in the press with
lies and innuendoes about what was happening at the church. While some
friends were building my new house I fell from the second floor and
almost died breaking several ribs and my pelvis. All these things were
happening at one time. I felt like a thief every time I opened the
newspapers, I felt like a crook. The IRS showed up and completely
audited my wife and I for a long period of time. We were talking to them
all day and then we would go to revival.
The Power Of The
Blessing
The early message was about the early move of God At the
early building of the new Brownsville Church in Pensacola, Pastor
Kilpatrick had no musical brass instruments. He had always had great
choirs in his church but the new church had an orchestra pit without a
single brass instrument player. For a while he would call a man in
Mobile, Alabama with a trumpet to come and play for service on Sunday.
When he refused to come any more for service the pastor went to the
church before one Sunday and began to prayer. The prayer sounded more
like a complaint to the Lord. "He didn’t want to hear about my
complaints and he rebuked me. I sounded like I was complaining and I
knew it wasn’t pleasing the Lord. I dealt with the situation of my
heart before I dealt with the situation of the brass players in the
orchestra pit. I learned a principle from a person who called me. The
next Saturday evening before I began to pray I use it. Instead of
cursing my situation I began to bless my situation. I began to walk
around the orchestra pit and bless it. I could see all kinds of brass
instruments there. The following week I got a call from a retired
military person who was coming to Pensacola to interview for an ROTC
program at Pensacola High School. At the end of his conversation he
mentioned he played a trumpet and would I mind if he played it on
Sunday. The principle began to work; I learned the basis of what was
going to be the whole future of the Brownsville Assembly of God. I was
going to bless and not curse any situation. It was such a tremendous
principle I began to employ its use allover the church."
The power of the blessing over family, church and weddings
The principle of blessing not only worked with financial
needs it worked with people. I immediately called my two boys and went
to them and asked for their forgiveness. At first they didn’t
understand what I was doing but what I was doing was going over the past
where I might have reacted and cursed them. I immediately began to
pronounce a blessing over them. I walked from room to room in my house
and began to anoint those rooms with oil and pray a blessing over my
home. I prayed it over my wife and began to pray it over difficult
people and situations at the church. I taught this principle to my
church and noticed some of the change in the congregation. One awkward
boy who had been attending our church was really touched by it. He was a
lanky teenager who was trying to grow a beard. His shirttail was hanging
out and if you saw him your heart just went out to him. When I told
about blessing my boys he went home to Tennessee to see his father. As
he came up to the front door the father answered the door. He
immediately asked what do you want now! There was no welcome or love
coming toward the boys. The boy asked his father for something? The
father immediately said, ‘I know why you came here, you came here
because all you wanted was something from me.’ The boy replied no
daddy its not like that, I am really having a difficult time in life and
I am in a struggle just to survive. All I have ever heard from you is
how bad I was and how I would never amount to anything. Daddy , what I
want from you is for you to give me your blessing. As the boy went to a
room in the house and stood next to a window he heard his father come in
the door and stand behind him. With hot tears pouring from the
father’s eyes he asked for boys forgiveness and prayed a blessing over
him.
The change in the young man was almost immediate at
church as he began to dress and groom his hair. One day I could see that
he had a girl friend with him and that’s when he approached me and
told me the story about his dad in Tennessee. After hearing this story I
immediately made my mind up about our weddings at Brownsville. Every
wedding at Brownsville from that day on would have the father of the
bride and groom say a blessing over their son or daughter. If the father
or the mother were unable to do it someone would pray the prayer of
blessing over him or her.

HURLEY, MISSISSIPPI -- It's a rare place in this part of
South Alabama and South Mississippi but it is the real thing.
House of Praise is an independent work in a very small town in
Mississippi but the glory is real and it comes in the building when
Pastor William Handcock begins to sing. Most of the praise music
is written by Handcock and as he goes into the third song you can feel
something taking over. The Holy Spirit is hot in this church and
the power of God has seen every manner of healing.
Evangelist David Piper
has been visiting the church for the last few months and the glory that
has penetrated the house has brought forth the birth of several healings
in the congregation. Crack cocaine addicts come and are set free
under the blanket anointing of the house. Piper comes once a
month and it has only been since 1998 after accepting Christ that he
made the trip from Tipton, Georgia to Orlando, Florida to be delivered
from his crack cocaine addiction.
Since Piper has been coming to House of Praise every manner of healing
has been witnessed in the house. On Sunday night the former crack
addict had people stand in the congregation -- cancer patients,
painful spins, deaf ears stood from their pews to give God the glory for
their healing.
The great glory that is
in the house comes from the divine worship that is heard from the
original songs that the pastors sings and composes. "The
pastor has a touch with God like no other man I have ever seen in the
ministry. He knows how to touch God, what we have is special and
is one of the best guarded secrets on the Gulf Coast," says Sandra
Pruitt of Lucedale, Ms. It's another small town miracle but this
time the town is smaller than Smithton, Missouri. Hurley,
Mississippi is famous for its pine trees and wide open spaces but people
are joining the congregation because of the presence of God that is in
the house. One lady who plays the key board said, "Some
people start out in the glory and end up in religion but this is real
and I can't wait to come to church. It incredible to see what God
is doing in this church.".
It's at the end of Airport Blvd. as you drive in from Mobile and those
who are making the drive from Mobile are being refreshed in the river of
God. One man from Mobile said, "There's not another church in
the river God than House of Praise, we make the trip because we want to
be in God's presence and it is here at the church."
David
Piper said, "It easy to preach in this church because of the glory
that hits this place, you people are really blessed." Piper
finished his service on Sunday and was scheduled for a divine
appointment in a Biloxi Hospital to pray for one more soul who faces the
terror of a crack addiction. God uses this man and his time has no
limit as he goes where he is called. "I just happy to be in
this full time now, God opens the doors and I just go through them
whether they be an individual who needs prayer or a church who calls
upon me.
Keep your eye on this little church it is
the best kept secret in Mississippi.

He Was Healed At A Kathryn Kuhlman
Meeting In Pittsburgh
PENSACOLA, FL -- Last night the
Brownsville Revival turned to another dimension of revival.
Billy Burke says that divine healing is just another element of revival.
Burke was healed in a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting at the Presbyterian Church
in Pittsburgh, Pa. when he was a small boy. Last night the
manifestations of healing could be seen through the entire house as
person after person came forward to testify.

As the large crowd sang, Glorify Thy Name
In All The Earth the power of God came down. Diabetes, Lumps on the
Breast and people hearing out of ears that have not functioned in
several years. One Brownsville Revival School of Ministry Student
who was legally blind received his sight as his parents looked on.
It was an amazing night as Jesus the healer came in His glory.
The service lasted late into the night. Big John Hall came to sing
and assist Billy Burke as he ministered.

UNION CITY, TENNESSEE-- On the western side of Tennessee
is a church that has been through the fires of revival. Trinity Assembly
of God has
changed their name to Trinity Worship Center because the presence of God
keeps falling in the worship service. Editor Jerrell Miller was
with Pastor Bob Gortman on Sunday night and power that has been hitting
the church flowed once again. Miller moved in Prophetic word as he
moved forward in helping to lead the worship. "It is so easy
to minister when the worship touches the service, the prophetic
flows like a river." Miller was in the church for two
services at Trinity Worship Center AOG at Union City, Tennessee.
Asuza St. Spoken About
In Porterville, California
PORTERVILLE, CA -- He is one of
the most foremost authorities on the Azusa Street Revival. He is a
doctor of letters and he helps run the Brownsville Revival School of
Ministry. Dr. Larry Martin is more than just a man of letters he is one
of the leading evangelists in the River move of God that started when he
came to a sinners altar in Miami, Oklahoma to ask Jesus back into his
cold intellectual heart. It’s not that he didn’t love Jesus but the
hope of revival that had been in his heart for years had grown cold.
The Expert On Asuza Is
Dr. Larry Martin
I had never sat under Dr. Martin as a teacher but he
related several stories about the Azusa Street Revival that would stand
the hair up on the back of a dogs neck. Martin spoke abut the man
Seymour and his humble beginning as the son of a freed slave brought out
the reality of what was about to happen in Los Angeles, California would
shake the world from its foundation.
Martin’s book is a detailed account of that
beginning and it is a great addition to any library. One thing that
really shocked people was the fact of how the Los Angeles Times
represented the revival as a cult move. The day it printed the article
another occurrence happened that shook the whole California coast. The
San Francisco Earthquake shook the entire region and the other newspaper
The Express published a cartoon of the grim reaper with a caption
under it that said, " You know not what a moment of time can
bring."
Seymour came from the middle Louisiana and worked as
a waiter in several cities in the north. In St. Louis, Missouri he
contracted small pox and nearly died. It affected his appearance as his
face was rutted and scared from the event. One of his eyes was rendered
useless with a milky appearance pulled over it. Seymour tried to grow a
beard to cover his face but it wasn’t his appearance that God wanted
it was his obedience.
Coming to Los Angeles to preach this new doctrine he
was blocked by the religious until God moved in a house on Bonnie Bray
Street. It was a time of blessing as the move of God found a home and
began to flourish.
A newspaper was started and in one month 50,000
papers were mailed all around the world. Two ladies who were white ran
the paper. The was the greatest break through in the church, the revival
was a mixture of races. The names and the address were held in their in
their hands until Seymour married. Martin said that the two ladies left
the revival because of his marriage not because of jealousy but because
they felt that Jesus would come very soon and it would take him away
from what God wanted for him at the moment. The end of the newspaper
ended a lot of the revival activity.
Dr. Martin said many would say that this revival was
a failure but in what we see in Pentecost today when we do the research
almost every known work in Pentecost today can be directly traced back
to the move of God on Azusa St.
It was different type of revival and it was what God
wanted for the moment. Martin spoke of the many people who came through
the door s to bring division. One man came and almost voted Seymour out
of the church as pastor, and it all happened while he was on the road
away from the church. When Seymour returned this man was blocked from
the building and not allowed back in.
-
Dr. Martin mentioned the fact that many people
say you don’t have to come to Pensacola to experience revival. One
man came from back east to experience Pentecost at Azusa Street and
went back home to spread the message. From that one man four
Pentecostal Denominations were created. The list goes on an on of
the people who were touched and brought the experience back home to
spread the message of revival and Pentecost.
-
Martin said the one song that they sang over and
over was, "The Comforter has come." That particular song
was there favorite. Seymour had come to Los Angeles, California at
age 36 and died at age 52 a broken man through the many battles of
race and religion that would slam the great move of God.
The head of the Church of the Nazarene in Los
Angeles at the time said that this move of God will never amount to
anything. But anyone who knows anything today knows how empty those
word were.
Dr. Martin’s endless research on the subject of Azusa
Street has brought us a better picture of what happened and the detail
of the events that happened in and around William J Seymour life.
Seymour’s life is something for all of us to reflect on. The greatest
failure of the revival was that it did not carry through with the
transition of bringing all the ethnic groups in the church. Many
Southerners who came from a segregated situation in the south found
themselves speechless for words as they walked through the doors of the
Azusa Street mission. The mission like the Brownsville Assembly of
God was set up in a red light district of poverty and hopelessness.
The man who led the revival was the son of Louisiana Slave. The
extensive records of research by Dr. Martin revealed that he was
Baptised in the Catholic Church.

Still Pensacola?
There is still a
powerful witness at this church and it doesn’t seem to want to go
away. While many in print would like to see it go away the witness in
the sanctuary to those who are members, and those who have visited are
still in awe of the move of God there in Pensacola.
MOBILE, AL -- The most profound event that happened
last year in revival was just before the Bridging of America’s
Conference. We feel that Cindy Jacobs is one of the most powerful
prophetic voices in the land. When she speaks the cloud of anointing
covers a place. It was that way in February. The time she spent on the
platform of the Brownsville Revival was awesome. Jacobs is
anointed but the place where she spoke (Brownsville) is her match in
spirit anointing. The combination of the place and the individual
brought a blanket anointing which flowed into The Bridging of
Americas Conference in Pensacola last year. The entire week
during this conference represented the deepest experience of any of
the past in that holy sanctuary. Even the first two years of this
revival never felt or witnessed the anointing which came to that house
in February of 2001.
The second event that rocked our paper last year
was the outpouring of the Spirit at the Brownsville Revival School
of Ministry. The true weight of what happened among the students
was stirred by a faithful evangelist, Dr. Larry Martin. Martin a true
veteran of river revival pulled in his ministry for a season to share
it with the students at BRSM. The three events which began the year of
2001 in Pensacola were an awesome witness to those who were there, and
those who have been in the flow of this great move of God in Pensacola
for the last few years.
We are associated with the Brownsville Revival and
we would like to make this statement of fact. There is still a
powerful witness at this church and it doesn’t seem to want to go
away. While many in print would like to see it go away, the witness in
the sanctuary to those who are members and those who have visited are
still in awe of what God is doing in Pensacola.
There are some days at this revival where the
powerful direction of what God is going to do next is revealed. On
September 9, 2001 Pastor John Kilpatrick spoke about change. He stood
back from his pulpit and said he was just watching. Kilpatrick’s
words and statements that day pointed toward what happened in New York
City just two days later. The revival pastor said, "He wouldn’t
be surprised if the entire country would tune into CNN to see a
national tragedy such as an earthquake on Wednesday. It was that
statement that assured me that this revival was not over.. John
Kilpatrick spoke a word in season that happened two days later. Anyone
who believes the witness of Pensacola has died, were not a witness to
these last four events. We heard the word with our ears, we saw the
devastation with out eyes and now we know we stand on the edge of some
of the greatest events of Christianity. The one thing about this event
which happened on September 9 is that God’s Spirit birthed something
in prophecy that no other prophet was saying at the time in the land.
No one but The Remnant wrote about this sermon, but this sermon
was not just and ordinary experience, it was a revelation in a place
where revelation has been revealed for six years. Anyone who says the Brownsville
Assembly of God is not having revival needs to understand one
thing -- these revelations of God are not receiving fanfare by the
local media as it once did but the fact that God is still revealing
Himself in the Holy Place is encouraging to those who follow this
revival and these events are encouraging to the people who are members
there. Just Watching -- and the fact that God poured His Spirit
out on Pensacola on Father’s Day still puts a mark on this
country to repent and come to God. Those who truly hear His voice
reveal His glory in seasons of great witness to the body of Christ. It
is that Pentecostal witness which has been seen in Pensacola for the
last six years that has made a dent into this country. Last year the
supernatural visitation did not go away in the Pensacola and when it
came time to prepare the body for a major occurrence upon on the land
it was revealed in the pulpit on September 9. During that particular
day John Kilpatrick knew something was going to happen. Before he
preached he knew that someone in the congregation had a word from God.
One of the ushers came forward that day and then Lindell Cooley came
forward that day. The first man spoke about Pastor Kilpatrick and he
spoke about the call that was on his life. Lindell spoke about people
who needed to turn back from their whispering and backbiting. It was a
day of repentance for the congregation, it was almost as if God had
ordered the congregation to repent before He would reveal His will
about the great events of this week that were about to happen. If
Brownsville has a legacy, it is one that speaks of the supernatural.
Many in the denomination of the Assemblies of God wish the
supernatural of this revival would go away. We have noticed in recent
days that many in the Assemblies of God movement have moved
away from the supernatural and the Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
We speak to many pastors on the telephone from this office and the
hope that is known as the Brownsville Revival is in their
voices. There are those voices in the Pentecostal movement known as
the Assemblies of God who would like to silence the voice of
this mighty move of God.
The Brownsville Revival has served as a standard for
Pentecost that has been heard across the land. The fear of a return to
fundamental Pentecost has caused many to attack what they do not
understand. To the millions who have walked through the doors and have
had their lives changed, revival has been a breath of fresh air.
The leadership at the great church has endured some of
the most tremendous hardships ever seen in ministry, but the
leadership at the Brownsville Church has provided a new leadership and
a return to the Supernatural God of Pentecost. It has
caused many to return to a higher expectation of God and has caused
many to prepare themselves in holiness. We at The Remnant
understand their pain and suffering and lift them up on a daily basis.
The Brownsville Revival has been the American Missionary
calling pastors and lay people back to a place of true holiness in the
supernatural presence of God. Many say, "We want to go back to
way the church used to be," but those who have truly been touched
by this move of God ask, "What is there to go back to," we
have felt His presence and we will not be happy until we see the
entire nation under this influence of God." We believe this
revival will not end until all of America feels the fire of its
holiness. The best years of this move of God are ahead. The fire and
the witness of this great event will not stop until Jesus comes.
